I've never tried any of the other products out there that do basically the same thing (but I know some weremore like $5, which I thought was too much). After I misplaced my phone--again--in my landline-lacking house the other night, I thought it might be time to get an app like this. It was easy to set up (though putting the website address in the app itself would help), and makes a godawful sound that should definitely be sufficient to either let you find it or convince the poor crackhead who's stolen it that it's possessed and the police are already after them. The GPS function got the location a full 6 blocks off, which I don't really get. It seems to know pretty accurately and consistently where the phone is for the usual map purposes, but thought the "lost" phone was 6 blocks away when I was checking its location on the phone itself!

Good low cost alternative to mobileme's find my phone feature. Granted it can't locate your phone on demand, but for those who don't already have or need a MobileMe account, it's much cheaper than $99/year. This is the one app I've bought, which I hope I never need to use but I'm glad I have it just in case.

Jealous of my friends who have mobileme accounts and can use the Find My Phone feature, I decided to give this little app a try. I was shocked that for .99 it's amazingly close to the real thing! I haven't had to use it to recover my iPhone lost out in the real world yet (and hope I never will), but I already used it to find my iPhone that I misplaced in my home, and it worked really well. I don't have another phone line in my home to call my phone when I lose it, so this was a life saver. Just opened a website, hit send and could instantly hear the high pitched, ear piecing sound coming from my basement, while I was upstairs! No way my ringtone could have been heard that far away. Probably would have taken me half the day to find it otherwise. For .99 this app is a no brainer!

Useful app, but i cannot get the gps tracking function to work I know you have to be viewing the message to work but I left a message open for 5 minutes and I tried it like 4 times it still won't email me. I don't know if it is a bug in the app or if I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

Works as advertised but please change the name of the icon so in case someone steals the phone and sees an application named "phone finder" doesnot delete it.

Pros: After searching for days for an app to track my IPhone in case I lost it or was stole this one had the best reviews and the price was great, so I purchased this incredible app, the set up was incredibly easy, tried it out and in showed me exactly where my phone was, it even showed me a picture of the house. Great job!! I just hope I don't have to use it!!

I bought this app to try and protect myself after loosing my first I phone. I have been searching for an app to help me in case it ever happens again. I found lots of information online about how to protect yourself BEFORE loosing the phone and vowed to do so once I replaced my iphone.

Sonic Phone Finder was easy to set-up and it works well but is very limited. When lost, you go to a website and it sends a message to your phone which can be read even if the phone is locked (keep the message short). That is helpful if you lose your phone and a honest person will call or e-mail you to return it. It would not be helpful if it was stolen. The mapping feature wasn't accurate 2 out of 3 tries - and how would you know which one was correct? The loud tone is great for finding your phone in your own home; AS LONG AS THE RINGER IS TURNED ON. Since my ringer is usually off, it's not helpful.
