Description

Speed Name is the absolute quickest way to add a contact to your iPhone or iPod Touch.

All from a single screen, you enter the name, phone number, email and note. Then simply tap a single button to have that name added.

No shuffling between handfuls of screens. Simply enter the information in one screen.

Speed Name will even allow you to add, edit and delete groups for your Contact list.

Speed Name also provides easy filing of your existing contacts in to groups. You can choose which group to display the contacts for, even allowing you to display all the unfiled items in a list.

Simplicity and potential worth the 99¢

I'm happy to pay 99¢ for Speed Name for its simplicity and potential. Sure, the built-in Contacts app already lets you add contacts, but I always end up fumbling with the back-and-forth of its interface. Apple sacrificed usability in order to accomodate lots of options. Speed Name provides a clean, simple interface which works nicely for quickly and easily adding a contact.

Great you can make groups but you need to put all the info for that contact in again. I dont want to have to retype all the info again for each contact. Make the option to be able to grab a contact from your address book and use. Please make this update.

I can finally add my own groups to contacts! This is important since i am using TravTracker which adds about 100 airlines, hotels, cruises and others. Probably wouldn't have paid more. Doesn't turn sideways.

It's nice to be able to add contacts so easily. The lack of group separation in contacts is a gross oversight, I'm glad this app corrected it. Could use the ability to add address and phone type(ie mobile, home, work, etc) otherwise exactly what a business owner needs and what I've been waiting for. It would be cool to be able to move existing contacts to newly added groups but that may be beyond the scope of the intent in creating this app...

Being able to add groups is great! Quick adding contacts is very handy. Hope in an update you alphabetically order the groups.

Since apparently we are rating apps based on whether or not we have a personal use for it (or whether or not we even comprehend an app's utility), 5 stars it is for being able to add basic contact info quickly from a single screen form... Comparing this to truly useless apps like the "picture of a piece of wood app", and all the others that not only do not *add* or extend functionality, but do not even *have* functionality, makes other readers question the credibility of such "reviews".

Very pleased with the current updates. Eliminates the need to switch between and use two apps at once. To really make it better try: 1)Using a number beside the group names that show how many contacts are in a group. 2)allow the ability to view the contact info, and ability to edit or delete it, to again eliminate the need for 2 or three apps. 3)The ability to call, text, or email the contact while in it by tapping.

Great way to quickly add contacts. Would like to see more flexibilty to add more info, such as multiple phone numbers, email and street addresses, and to edit contacts from within the app. Still, much better than dealing with the standard contacts app that Apple provided. More than worth downloading.

Not worth a buck. It only organizes your contacts, but doesn't adress the real issue with iPhone; sending group texts or emails easily. You still have to select each contact within a group and add individually to a text or email. If blackberry can do it, why not apple? I guess it does do as advertised, but not what we need.

But not their fault. Emphasis of description is fast way to enter. I don't enter through this pgm, BUT it provides a way to group contacts AND the groups show up in the iPhone contacts pgm. THAT makes this a free 5 star pgm! Thank you to the Speed Name programmers!

The more I use this the more I learn about it and the better I like it. It's a much faster way to enter contact information than the built-in contact app, but it also allows you to create groups, and to easily delete multiple contacts when the need arises.
