After featuring a sports app for last week’s app of the week, I didn’t plan on featuring two sports apps in a row.  However, I couldn’t pass up featuring the Sportcaster app this week because I was so impressed by its originality. Nothing beats watching your favorite team play with a group of passionate sports fans.  For me, a big part of the fun on game day is analyzing the plays, questioning the coaching decisions, and having spirited discussions and arguments with those I am sharing the game with. Just in time for the football season, OneLouder has released the SportCaster app as a way to get real-time stats and curated Twitter feeds on your handset. Any sports fans out there should definitely give this app a shot. The SportCaster app aims to be your one-stop shop for sports goodness, as it will launch with the NFL and college football stats and feeds but it plans to eventually bring on all the major sports (let’s hope there’s an NBA season).
