Description

You can share your location with friends !
Tap on the button to send your current position by email ! The email will contains a link to google maps with your precise location.

It works in two ways: if the iPhone is portrait your position is shown on a local map while if the iPhone is landscape your position is shown on a world map.

SpotMe! will continuously update your position and accuracy for all the time you are running the application.

It works with first generation iPhone and iPod touch but for better performance an iPhone 3G with GPS is suggested.

I think I have all of the apps that send my GPS location from the iPhone to an email address. This is easily the best. The newest version, adding the LED, is a real nice touch!

Emailed the developer and they responded right away. It works great like it says. I look forward to updates and the possibility of being able to email my blogger account and have it embed a google map instead of just post a link. But this does a good job of locating, emailing and I like the map.

This app didn't work at all for me. Everytime I opened it, it showed me as being somewhere in the middle of Virginia when I know for sure I'm in Florida. I've never even been to Virginia! Even after installing the update it shows me in the same wrong place. What a waste! Now to find an app that always can correctly show my position to others. (btw loopt calculated my position wrong also).

A great program and works as advertised. Can you add a setting that lets you adjust the SUBJECT of the email that's generated? Possibly allowing us to set some presets for the subject like. This is where I'm at! or Find me here! I understand that you have the SpotMe! there for branding purposes possibly? But you can add that information as a signature in the email like Location brought to you by SpotMe! Great program!

Great app....but it would be nice to zoom and pan around in the mapand if you can view in a sattelite view. Also if it displayed an address of where you are along with coordinates.

The "Send My Current Location" button won't function unless the map is downloaded and displayed. So it's possible to have an accurate GPS fix and not be able to send it due to a slow data connection (one or two bars on the Edge network). An override is necessary. Other than this, the app is worth the 99 cents.

This is a great application! I have a first gen iPhone and I have two suggestions. 1) Is to have an option to move around the pin or maybe type in cross streets to get a more accurate location! 2) Have a preference pane in the settings to set a default e-mail message to go along with the location link.
