Stitcher is a free app that offers more than 5,000 radio shows, podcasts and live stations on demand, streaming directly to your Android tablet. The app does a great job of streamlining the process of finding radio shows and making them available by category. You can save shows as your favorites and help Stitcher tune to your tastes by liking or disliking shows. It’s like Pandora, but for radio shows. Though the interface is really clean, and browsing through content is extremely easy, it doesn’t seem like Stitcher has been fully optimized for tablet screens in some aspects. Was a big fan, but now I'm uninstalling Sticher I like listening via web on my computer, so that is a plus, but once I listed to an episode, stitcher doesn't allow me to listen to it again?! That's lame, especially considering how buggy the android app and the website is. I just dropped some money down to try out Doggcatcher instead. THAT is a real nice alternative to Stitcher. I don't mind paying money if it'll relieve some headaches that free apps are giving me.

Stitcher works great on my phone. I listen during my commutes and in the evening and never have any problems. The app tells me when my favorite shows have new episodes and takes me right to them and it finds other content for me too. When I hear about a new podcast I might like, I check Stitcher first. I'm using beyondpod as a replacement. I even paid for it because it works so well. Stitcher works great until you drop a network connection, or do anything crazy like take a phone call or unplug your headphones. Then all bets are off on how it will respond. Overall clunky interface and poor performance.

I use Stitcher a lot but recent updates have made it such a mess, I'm looking for a replacement. Landscape view was appreciated but there is no progress slider in landscape. That, however, is minor compared to all the other issues like dropping playback when taking a call or switching to another app, then forwarding to the next podcast in your queue when it resumes. Sorry, Stitchers, it was fun while it lasted.

On the iPhone Stitcher is rock solid. The transition from a Wi-Fi to the 3- G network is a bump, but no more. Clicking a headset mic mutes and unmutes instantly. On the Android things are different. The headset mic button has no effect at all. The vaunted Verizon 4G network dropped the stream constantly. The Android version definitely needs work.

I used the iOS version before switching to Android but its no where near as good and it wasn't even very good on iOS.
