Good app, but could be better... I do like this app. It makes viewing forums easier and quicker than using your phone's browser, especially if you subscribe to multiple forums. What could be improved: - Have the ability so search in specific forums/sub-forums. - The magnifying glass button on my phone should open a search screen - Should be able to choose between 24 hour or AM/PM for viewing post reply times - Post list should be configurable to see more than 10 posts

Uploading pictures sucks big time as its realty bad quality and u can't make out what's written in the picture. This is a paid app and the quality of uploaded pictures is the same as it was many months ago. U guys really suck. U guys should give us the money back for these 2 main functions picture uploading and subscribe functions. Subscribe function = FC :'( Plz fix the issues regarding FC I get on using the subscribe function as it is the main function I need.

I'm much more a reader than a contributor and I find this app makes it harder for me rather than easier. Three specifics. The UI is not intuitive. The search capability is next to useless - it searches the entire forum rather than the section I'm in. In, say, XDA Developers, I just want to search the Transformer Prime area, not every Android device there's ever been. Finally, although you can subscribe to posts I've not found a way to navigate quickly to them. Nor can I mark a post as a favourite - something I view as essential.

Tapatalk works pretty well. I get at least one crash a day when clicking on a forum photo but I can live with that. Some photos wont load. Its def not as robust as browsing a forum on web; could be better. All in all it's a good app. I'd like to have known if you buy the regular version I could've got the blue version for free instead of buying the blue version first. It works & its convenient. I'd buy again. I have no idea if there's a alternative to try. Used on At&t Samsung skyrocket galaxy S2.

Installed without a shortcut, keeps crashing and asking to report, posts sometimes evaporate into thin air. I can never get my saved drafts to post after returning to the application from something running in parallel. Love that I can click to hit my favorite forums even though this could be done with any browser's bookmarks. I still haven't figured out how it's supposed to notify me of updates as the white writing near the left of the screen suggests.

I would like to suggest a free trial version. Not all apps work on all devices. If there was a free 30 day version that people could download and use it would help people to decide if they want it. Some of the reviews I have read are from people who had devices that the app just did not run on, and they were just a nit miffed that they had to pay for the app only to find out that it did not work. Just something to think about.

I'm probably being too harsh for this review but I rated it lower because the whole point is to make forum viewing easy but it doesn't do any good if the forum(s) you want to view aren't available on tapatalk. This is the biggest issue I have and if there were a trial version, people could test drive it on all the sites they visit to see if it's compatible with tapatalk before they commit to the purchase. Out of 8 forums I frequent, only 2 were available which really made this app of little value to me since the other 2 forums also had a mobile version as well. The app itself is 5 stars for sure for it's ease of useability and organization and I think the developers did an excellent job on that. I really hope the developers either offer a trial version or indicate in bold somewhere towards the top of the description that this app may not work with all forums. CLIFF's NOTES: Buyer Beware - Please make sure your forums are supported by Tapatalk app first before purchase. Do not assume one of those 23,000 forums are one of your forums you visit.

The Tapatalk app has been great and I DO recommend it. However the new user interface is not good. I like the idea, but hate the execution. There is a lot of space wasted, and I found the previous version more intuitive. It FEELS like they cut functionality for esthetics. The worst part is the favorites were lost on all of my forums so I have to set them all back up again! I hope Tapatalk takes note and listens to its users.

Why did you change all the buttons around? I used to use the dark background all the time. Now the text is so dark I can barely see it during the day. And another thing. Adding links to the internet and other things is hard enough on a phone. I used to be able to switch between Tapatalk and a browser and easily add content. Now, if I switch to a browser or anything else, Tapatalk exits your post, so you have to search for the thread again to add to your post that it saved. Eff you Tapatalk.

Does not really stand out nearly as well as lt. gray. My biggest complaint tho has to be usability/stability. Force close should have been the name for tapatalk lets hope 2.0 is better. Fc when refreshing favs, when posting, when quoting, etc. etc. I have reported more fc with this app than any other. There are 2 reasons I report, the app crashes a LOT, and reporting is somewhat easy. I love it when it works, wish it had more features and less themes linked to a market store item to buy.... Too "tacky".

Since receiving an update to my Samsung Galaxy S2 whenever I use Tapatalk I cannot actually view the details of any threads on the forums that I use. I can see the normal sections within the forum, e.g. for sale section, events, etc, & the titles of each thread, however, as soon as I click in to them everything except the title is blank. What is happening here? 1 star as I now I have a forum app that I have paid for that I cant use on forums!

Glad I have a backup to go to via Titanium Backup as I am not a fan of the new design at all and would rather go back. Why they decided to go with these colors and not redesign a major version update with the latest Android Design standards is beyond me. I realize not everyone has ICS or even likes the design, but seeing as it is becoming more prominent as a design for Android it would have been nice if we had the option of a Holo Theme.

There are 2 things I don't like about the new Tapatalk 2. They aren't big deals, but are still somewhat annoying. 1. When I press the back button it takes me to the main forum, unlike the older version where it took me back to the sub forum I was previously viewing. 2. I have it set so I can view the oldest post so I know what the thread I'm reading is about. This worked great on the old version, but on the new version it automatically jumps to the newest post.

For what it does, Tapatalk is a tremendous app. For reading forums and getting exactly to the posts you follow it beats any Web browser. However, Tapatalk is in a constant state of development and requires a bit of patience to work with. The good news is the developer is very responsive, and fixes come frequently. Over the years Tapatalk has improved a great deal. Bottom line is, there is no better way to read and post to forums than Tapatalk. Get the Pro version and support it's developers.

I have the paid version, It doesn't do very good searches. Its actually very annoying. If I find something I'm looking for in Google and it happens to be a tapatalk forum it pops up asking me if I want to go to the forum's special tool (which is tapatalk) It takes me then to the play store, by the time I get to the app I am nowhere near the forum I was going to in the first place... Then I can't find the original ever unless I exit and go back to the browser. I can never find the forum I was going to eve

Tapatalk makes reading and participating in my forums so much easier, and it's faster to browse the posts, since many forums are "glitchy" or have a lot of lag due to so many ads on the pages. I keep finding little things though that I can't do without having to go to the webview, such as if I want to "like" a post, or copy only a portion of a post, instead of the entire post. Also, there are no editing options when creating a post, such as bold print, underline, etc. If I have to type in code to do those things, or go to the web view, it somewhat takes away from the benefit of using TapaTalk to begin with. Still a very useful app though if you have several forums you want to check on quickly in one place.

Based on performance alone I would give this app 5 stars. But it's annoying that every time 1 of my Google searches ends up directing me to a forum (how was I supposed to know the answer I was looking for was in a forum?), I get the same 2 pop ups of "this website has an app, would you like to learn about it?" (WTF, I have that app already... Oh well, 'No.') then "Hey, there's an app for reading this forum! Would you like to learn more about Tapatalk?" (I F***ING bought Tapatalk! I have it installed!)
