I have always enjoyed sushi and thought it would be great to know how to make it. It looks too delicate of a skill, though, and I shrugged it off as an unlikely practice in my kitchen. That didn’t prevent a friend from gifting me supplies to make sushi this past holiday season, so I stood at that crossroad. My only experience at trying to roll sushi with my father was moderately successful, so I was optimistic that I could do it; yet in thinking about trying to do it independently, I found myself very apprehensive. I own both of the Teach Me Sushi iPhone apps and I was really excited to see an iPad version available too. After pouring myself a cup of coffee and sitting through the 15 minute download (the download was literally 15 minutes and I have a pretty good broadband plan) - I was blown away at just how unbelievably good this app is. Most cooking apps need you to download the videos after you have downloaded the app - which means you have to wait before you start every recipe and you don't know what you're in for size wise on your app. I prefer waiting to download and then afterwards being able to zip between each recipe without having to wait for anything more to download. The pictures are ridiculously clear and the iPad design works brilliantly. If you can look at these pictures/vids and not crave sushi immediately there is something wrong with you! 10 Stars and highly recommended!!!

This app was so cool! THe pictures are gorgeous and the videos are so helpful for a beginner with no clue what to do. I especially loved the calculator and the rice timer! Took all the guess work out of figuring out this sushi making thing and just put a quick and easy list right in front of me. The rice timer helped me make sure I didn't ruin the rice before I even got started. Could not make sushi making easier! I'm definitely no longer intimidated and no longer dropping all that money eating sushi out when I can pull it together so easily myself! AND it looks like a pro pulled it together!

Love this app! I bought Teach Me Sushi when it first came out for my iphone and I'm so glad that I know have it for my ipad too! I love how they have extra content, so worth the price. I first made sushi with the app for my husband for his birthday and it was a huge hit. Great videos and easy to follow instructions. If I can make it, believe me, anyone can make delicious food after watching Jake. I can't wait to make some of the new rolls for my friends for my next dinner party. Perfect party food!!
