I like that the story has 2 modes so that I can read to my kids when I can, or the story is narrated for those times when I can't. I especially love the fact that it's narrated in Cantonese. Please please release more narrated/animated stories in Cantonese & Spanish.

I scour Itunes constantly looking for narrated, animated books (shouldn't they be in a category on their own??!) and I think I have most of them. Well...The Little Red Hen is--hands down--the best out there. First off, it's animated...as in, the drawings have a bit of movement. Very cool. And then the voice in English is this extremely cute little girl's voice. Perfect. The page turns have a paper sound, and there's a little ding, every time you turn them. It's also in Cantonese (I don't understand it, but the voice sounds cute) and in Spanish (here, they kind of messed up...instead of a cute child's voice, they use a woman's voice.) Regardless, 10 points. My favorite kids app so far!! Congrats and please make more!! I'll buy them all...

Very cool application. We loved the voices and the animations. Please make more of these stories and also include a bottom "home" button to return home if you want to start listening in another language. Good Job!

I remember my Grandmother reading this story to me, 50 years ago. This little application now freshens the story for my grandchildren. The graphics are cute and interactive and the little girl's voice is just adorable. Moreover, my grandchildren can make the chicken cluck, cat meow, and the mouse squeak by touching their picture. I look forward to additional stories like this one!

I did not realize this app was only for the 2nd generation Touch until after I purchased it. (My bad for not reading the whole description but I was too interested!) I hope that you can update this app at the next update to include the First generation Touch. I really wanted it for my children as it has a Cantonese option. When this is updated to include the first generation, I will put in a new review giving it the appropriate number of stars. Thanks!

This is the best animated childrens story out there right now. Both of my kids LOVE it and so do I. I really wish they made many, many more stories. Hopefully they make a series of them and I would be a definite repeat customer if they could all be this well done. The little extras are great: multiple languages, read by yourself or listen (to a really fantastic young female narrator), little noises when you touch a character, and truly adorable illustrations.

Interactive and humourous animation. Would be perfect if it comes with mandarin narration. Great job.

This is my all-time favorite story from my childhood. My aunt that is a nun first introduced this story to me when i was about 7 yrs old. We read it from a volume of the Encyclopedia. I can't wait share the same story through the technology of today. I love this app concept!!!!

Both of my kids love these stories. My daughters are ages 4 and 17months. The voice reading is so cute, im with everyone else we want more books!!!

This is not any version of this story I ever heard. The hen taking the flour to a baker instead of baking it herself? Not in any version I know. No little chicks of her own to share the bread? They are sadly absent in this story. And despite how cute the child's voice is reading the story, it would really benefit from a more mature voice with better word pacing and enunciation.

These little animated stories are charming, fun, and just brilliant. My 2 1/2 year old figured out how to turn the pages immediately and was absolutely captivated...she just loved it. The limited animation is clever, the sounds are fun and surprising for the little ones (although they could use a bit more smoothing out on the audio post /production side - my only tiny miniscule complaint). The stories are read to you by children themselves, in a very expressive and imaginative style that is very cute, and you can select to read the stories by yourself with no narration. I purchased both stories they have available, and would buy any future ones in a snap. Really great!

My 3 year old won't give me back my iPhone! We love the story, and the little girl who narrates.
