Free-to-play has been a trend in mobile gaming for quite some time now and the next popular game to make the jump to the free-to-play realm is EA’s The Sims franchise. The game first hit iOS last month and EA has just announced the game has finally made the jump to the Android Marketplace. If you’re unfamiliar with The Sims FreePlay but have played a The Sims game in the past, you’ll have no trouble getting accustomed to the free-to-play model. You’ll first need to create your Sim from one of 16 fully customizable Sims. Once your Sim is exactly how you like them, you’ll proceed to move them into their first home and from then on the game will have you complete a number of objectives such as buying a TV, extending your home, and throwing sexy parties. The Sims FreePlay is completely free to play and only asks you Read More

By Rob LeFebvre on December 16th, 2011 Free games? Who doesn't like Free games? The GRINCH, that's who. Holy heck this was a great week for the free games. Free! Games! Right? OK, OK, I’ll stop crowing and just get to the games. Fine. Geeze. Breakout Boost – “Atari’s been reviving their classic franchises on iOS; first was the dual-stick shooter reinvention of Asteroids as Asteroids Gunner. While that took a lot of liberties with the Asteroids formula, their latest reinvention, Breakout Boost, is a bit more traditional. The classic Arkanoid-esque gameplay is here: break all the bricks by bouncing a ball off of a paddle at the bottom of the screen.” FREE! Pretty awesome. 5 minutes in and I'm controlling 2 Sims, 2 houses and 1 dog. This is not your mother's Sims game.
Wow - and on an iPod Touch no less.

Love love love the Sims 3 and bought all the ones for iOS. Deleted them all (except Medievil) when I got this. Didn't need to play them anymore. This one has everything and the graphics are awesome on Ipod - can't wait to dump this on my iPad 2 and REALLY see how it looks.
Good game but......

This is a wonderful game. It has everything we want. But, I don't like how I have to wait for the sim to do things and I don't like how I have to have all these sims in one slot. You should just have one sim (us) then the other computerized sims. If you make these changes it would be awsome
Great game bad ethics

Great game and graphics...HOWEVER, Earning money is hard. They (EA) want you to make in game purchases in order to advance. I think that's kind of cruel. 2 stars until they make it somewhat easier.
Ruined it

Real time and that you have to play this game online ruins this app. Why dont u just make it like the normal sims and charge us 5 bucks instead of this freemuim crap. Its a shame this game is laid to waste...
OMG

Wow

What a sad excuse for a game, and a ridiculous waste of time. It's not free if you have to pay just to make the game enjoyable. Down with the "free"-mium model! I'd rather pay $20 outright for a truly well-designed iPhone game. In fact, it's a shame there are few "real" (I.e. not casual minigame) games in the App Store - I'm sure people would pay good money for those even if it's not the trend with iOS games. Just look at Infinity Blade and Chaos Rings.
hmmm

Graphics, Amazing..sim creation. GoodI wish this wasn't like the sims social however which I hate. Couldn't we get something that is a bit more like the regular sims? Is there a possibility of even a few household members? Open game play, etc? I mean, come on. I get it! this is iphone can't do nearly as much but even if we could make 3 per household and just let them live without goals and quests...this would be a 5 star rating!!
Great depth
