Alright, this is nuts. Little Big Planet 2 was released for the PS3 in early 2011, and much like the original Little Big Planet, came loaded with an extensive custom level creation suite. These custom levels are available for download online, and while some of them are fairly creative, I haven't seen anything like this: If you've got a PS3, Little Big Planet 2, and PSN happens to be up, you can download this LBP2 custom level by searching for either "Tilt to Live", or just searching by the name of its creator, "MRcheese911". Alternatively, you could just download Tilt to Live on the App Store. It's an absolutely fantastic game that we loved in our review that has only gotten better with updates. Anyway, I've got to go pick my jaw up off the floor. I didn't even know it was possible to make custom levels like this. App Store Read More
The indie house that created Tilt To Live [$2.99 / HD] has been teasing a brand new project for some time. Until this afternoon, we only had this little nugget to go on: it was a multiplayer-focused, turn-based strategy game. Now, we’ve received our first in-game peek of the new IP, which has been dubbed “Outwitters.” According to One Man Left, the vision of Outwitters is to strip strategy to the bone and package it as something fun and inviting. It even hopes to capture a few casual hearts out there with Outwitter’s tedium-snipping tweaks and simplicity. In a nutshell, Outwitters is a class-based, defend-the-castle kind of joint. The twist here is that movement is turn-based, so the action isn't simply a rush and defend free-for-all. As of now, there are six different character classes to choose from, each with its own respective duty on the field. And like Rock, Paper, Read More
Tilt to Live Updates with Viva La Coop Mode on the iPad
Calendar16 Fri, 25 Mar 2011 01:07:09 UTC +00:00
posted by Trey Trawick on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 6:07 pm.   Tilt to Live enthusiasts who have purchased the “Viva la Turret” update can now play cooperatively with a friend. Both players must have the Viva la Turret expansion ($.99), and be on a local area network or Bluetooth. Co-op mode only works on the iPad, but One Man Left Studios promises that the next major update—which will be announced April 2nd—will have fewer requirements. Other additions to 1.7 include: What’s Improved: - Added a toggle to turn the perforator turret on/off in Classic and Code Red - Better caching of game center scores when no network connectivity is present. Scores uploaded next time there is an internet connection What’s Fixed: - Playhaven no longer crashes under ‘more games’ - The scoring bug that gave people highscores in the billions has been fixed. Incoming Tilt to Live update: ¡Viva la Coop!
Calendar16 Fri, 18 Feb 2011 15:56:12 UTC +00:00
Christmas came two days early last year, thanks to the $0.99 ¡Viva la Turret! expansion for Tilt to Live ($2.99 – review), but it’s coming even earlier this year, thanks to the upcoming ¡Viva la Coop! update (which is free for owners of the Turret expansion). The trailer above should tell you everything you need to know about gameplay (and Eric), but here are the highlights: Look to find this update on the App Store around the end of February, as long as things go smoothly (and they always do…right?). Viva La Tilt to Live Updates for iPhone and iPad!
Calendar16 Wed, 02 Feb 2011 20:04:20 UTC +00:00
By Carter Dotson on February 2nd, 2011 Tilt to Live is being expanded once more with Viva la Turret mode on both the iPhone and iPad, with a cooperative multiplayer mode coming in February. Viva la Tilt to Live! Few games have received the kind of post-release support that Tilt to Live has since its initial release on the iPhone last February, and the updates just keep on coming for the game. A new mode available via In-App Purchase, Viva la Turret mode, has been released for the iPad version of the game, after being released back in December for the iPhone version. Viva la Turret mode probably changes the way that Tilt to Live plays the most out of any of the other additional modes. Here, your only weapon is the Perforator turret powerup, which, when you pick it up, spawns a turret that locks you in place, which you Read More
Tilt to Live to Add Local Multiplayer
Calendar16 Fri, 28 Jan 2011 06:17:18 UTC +00:00
posted by Trey Trawick on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10:17 pm.   Tilt to Live, an accelerometer based dodge-shooter, will be getting a rather exciting multiplayer update in the (hopefully) near future. The objective of the game it to avoid being blasted to smithereens by your enemies while frantically collecting power-ups to fight back. Multiple game modes are already available, and cooperative/competitive multiplayer modes will certainly add to the games playability, and give even more value to the already essential game. via @ A taste of things to come for Tilt to Live’s next update: http://yfrog.com/h7sjkp #tilttolive Make sure to check out our interview with Tilt to Live developer Adam Steward. New 'Tilt To Live' Update Adds New Weapon And New Mode
Calendar16 Thu, 23 Dec 2010 18:07:49 UTC +00:00
If you're in the mood for some Tilt To Live [$2.99 / Lite, HD], now is a better time than most to boot up the title. Developer One Man Left Studios has pushed out a new update to the game, adding in a new mode and a new weapon via an in-game $.99 purchase. The update, which is available on the game's main menu, has been lovingly dubbed "Viva la Turret," and as it implies, it gives you access to a mounted chaingun-like weapon. The weapon, "The Perforator," is exclusive to this new mode, which is also called "Viva la Turret." The point of Viva la Turret is to grab points, of course, and the easiest way to do so is by collecting "The Perforator" power-ups that spawn on the map. Whenever you get access, you'll be assault by a stream of projectiles from all angles. The key here is to Read More

Lite Version of 'Tilt to Live' Now Available
Calendar16 Thu, 11 Nov 2010 14:53:20 UTC +00:00
One Man Left says that 500,000 people have downloaded Tilt To Live [$.99, Lite], the studio's tilt-controlled top-down, dual-stick-ish shooter. This means there's still more room for the game to be adopted by others, and in an attempt to grab even more fans for the mega popular game, One Man Left has released a Lite version on the App Store that you can check out now. It's hard for me to tell what exactly has been removed from this Lite version since I suck at Tilt to Live proper and am not faring much better in this version. But on the info page for the free version, One Man notes that owners should "Be sure to try our full version for even more insane weapons and unique gametypes." Some further investigation shows that this lite version is very similar to the default demo version of Tilt to Live HD [free] before Read More

TUAW's Daily App: Tilt to Live HD
Calendar16 Fri, 08 Oct 2010 13:00:00 UTC +00:00
Oct 8th 2010 at 8:00AM Tilt to Live is great fun, I highly recommend it. I've been playing it for months, first on iPhone, then iPad, and just bought the HD version yesterday. One of my all-time favorites. I haven't done any in-app purchases, but I have a question for people who have. I have an iPhone and an iPad. If I have a game on both and want to buy the upgrade in-app for both devices, do I have to buy it twice? 'Tilt to Live HD' Review – An iPad Remake Done Right
Calendar16 Thu, 07 Oct 2010 22:34:41 UTC +00:00
The current trend in iPad game releases seems to be for developers to take an existing iPhone game, append "HD" to the end of the name, and increase both the resolution of the graphics and the price-- and add an iPad-exclusive feature of two. iPhone developer One Man Left have significantly upped the HD ante this week, releasing one of the best HD remakes I've played in quite a while of an existing iPhone game. We loved the original in our review where we explained the basic premise behind the game: Tilt to Live HD [Free] offers identical gameplay, with a major twist: Instead of simply making everything bigger, they kept all the in-game objects the same size, and quadrupled the size of the battlefield. In our early previews, I wasn't really sure how much of a difference this would make when you're actually playing the game, but after spending a Read More
New Trailer Released for Upcoming 'Tilt to Live HD'
Calendar16 Thu, 23 Sep 2010 03:45:16 UTC +00:00
Last month we brought news that developer One Man Left had announced that their popular iPhone combat-avoidance game Tilt to Live [$2.99]would be appearing in native iPad form. Today they released the first trailer showing the iPad incarnation in action. Rather than just scale the graphics up to suit the larger size of the iPad screen, One Man Left has actually created a slightly reworked version of the original game and instead used the bigger screen to provide a playfield that is four times the size of the iPhone version, showcased in the following trailer: Tilt to Live HD has already been submitted to Apple, and barring any unforeseen complications One Man Left expects it to be available September 30th. It will be free to download initially, with a limited version of Classic mode available to play. If you enjoy that sampling you can download the entire rest of the game, Read More
One Man Left Announces 'Tilt to Live HD' for the iPad
Calendar16 Mon, 16 Aug 2010 21:28:18 UTC +00:00
One Man Left's Tilt to Live [99¢] has been a favorite of mine for quite a while now. In our review we discuss just how much fun its avoidance based gameplay is, and since then they've updated the game to add new power-ups and game modes not once, but twice. Announced mere moments ago is Tilt to Live HD for the iPad, which according to developers One Man Left won't just be a simple up-scaling, and instead will be a similar game with an arena that is four times as large... Best yet, it will be free to try with a demo mode and a $3.99 in-app purchase to unlock the rest of the content in the game. Tilt to Live HD will be tilt controlled much like its iPhone counterpart, and although the developers are claiming the controls have been optimized for the iPad, I'm curious to see how well Read More
Below is our interview with OneManLeft‘s Adam Stewart, one of the creators behind the popular ‘Tilt to Live’ [App Store]. He shares some of the juicy details of how TtL was first thought of, some ‘plans’ for the future of OneManLeft, and offers some advice to new developers trying to get a head-up in the App Store. Read on after the break! __________ Q: After you launched ‘Tilt to Live,’ you seemed to do the opposite of what most developers do; you continued to develop and churn out big updates (like the ‘Gauntlet’ update). Is that the ‘key to success’? A: Well, it probably hasn’t been the best use of our time, financially. The original plan was to move straight into the next title, but Tilt to Live caught on so well that we didn’t need to rush Read More

So You Just Got an iPhone 4 – An App Store Gaming Guide
Calendar16 Thu, 24 Jun 2010 08:20:31 UTC +00:00
If you're one of the lucky ones you managed to secure themselves an iPhone 4 today (or even the past two days if you're really lucky) you've no doubt marveled at how thin it is, how crisp the Retina Display is, and maybe you've even found someone else to do a FaceTime call with... but what about loading it up with some games? Since we haven't gotten our own iPhone 4's yet, we haven't really been able to put together a "games that are really awesome on the iPhone 4" listing, but I figured we'd start out by compiling a list of some of our favorite games in the App Store. If you think this looks a lot like our 2009 Buyer's Guide, that's because it does. However, we've updated the list with some of our recent favorites and kept some of the old ones. Both games are incredibly fun high scoring games and small enough to download over 3G to boot. We absolutely loved Tilt to Live in our review, and went on to award it 5 stars for the month of March. If you read our articles in EGM, we also included it in our list of must have iPhone games. Tilt to Live has gotten even better since then with an update that added two new awesome game modes as well. Skullpogo is also a ton of fun, in it you jump on various baddies while riding a pogo stick. 'Tilt to Live' Update with New Game Modes Now Available
Calendar16 Tue, 27 Apr 2010 04:57:44 UTC +00:00
We announced last month that Tilt to Live [$1.99] would be getting an update in April with two new game modes, and today that update has been released. Included are the new Gauntlet and Code Red game modes, leader boards for each mode, and six new awards provided by the AGON social platform. Tilt to Live is an accelerometer-based blow-em-up for the iPhone and iPod Touch that we reviewed last month and gave 5 stars. Here are descriptions of the two new game modes: Gauntlet Mode: Run the Gauntlet to put your precision tilting skills to the test! In Gauntlet mode, players compete for the longest survival time rather than highscores or combos. Enemies waves will no longer relentlessly chase you. Instead, the dots work together to form an increasingly difficult treadmill course of smashers, battle axes, windmills, and more. It’s an entirely new gameplay experience! New Game Modes Coming To Tilt To Live In April
Calendar16 Tue, 23 Mar 2010 15:47:02 UTC +00:00
One Man Left’s Tilt to Live is a fast-paced avoidance game that features rock solid controls and addictive gameplay. The game has received rave reviews so far, but the one thing that was missing, the one thing that prevented the game from receiving a perfect rating, at least from us, was the lack of game modes. That apparently won’t be the case for long. Tilt to Live will be receiving two new game modes on April 24th, which by no coincidence is the game’s two month anniversary. The new game modes, Gauntlet and Code Red, will be added via a free update and will both feature new leaderboards and awards to obtain. Code Red is being described as “Classic mode on crack.” It will throw you right into the mix from the get go instead of having you endure the dot building up period. It is only intended for you Tilt Read More
Tilt To Live’s $0.99 Procrastination Sale
Calendar16 Sat, 20 Mar 2010 18:37:18 UTC +00:00
You could call it a temporary price drop instead of a procrastination sale (which ends whenever they remember to end it), but that would be far too boring — and the developers over at One Man Left are really anything but boring. Tilt to Live has become one of my favourite iPhone games (definitely beating out Minigore for play time), and you can currently pick it up for 50% off of its usual $1.99 asking price. The game is also scheduled to see some new game modes this April (news via TouchArcade), with the promise of even more modes and weapons in future updates. So go lift the cushions in your couches and check all of the pockets in your winter clothes before you put them away and use that extra moolah to buy yourself a super cheap copy of Tilt to Live [iTunes link]. 'Tilt to Live' Getting New Game Modes in April
Calendar16 Sat, 20 Mar 2010 08:41:47 UTC +00:00
One of our favorite games this month was One Man Left's Tilt to Live, a fast paced object avoidance game that has also been getting overwhelmingly positive feedback in our forums. The game is presently on sale for only $0.99, so if you haven't picked it up yet, now's your chance. Riding on their early success. One Man Left has revealed to us that they are planning a couple of additional game modes for Tilt to Live that will be arriving in April. The new modes are described here: Code Red Rather than guiding players along a polite difficulty curve, we’re chucking them off a difficulty cliff with Code Red mode. This gametype is best described as “Classic mode on crack”. Everything from Classic is there, but the red dots will spawn at their highest intensity right from the start. It’s tailor-made for experienced players that “just wanna get to the Read More

TVOut2 zeichnet auf: Tilt to Live + Radio Flare Redux
Calendar16 Mon, 15 Mar 2010 16:24:46 UTC +00:00

How do you know you’re addicted to a game?  When you keep telling yourself, “I’ll stop after I play one more time.” Lots of apps claim to be addictive. Lots of reviewers claim an app is addictive.  You and I know that’s not really the case.  Yes, an app might be a blast to play for a few minutes or a couple of hours, but when it’s time to move on to the next thing, you can easily put your iDevice down or close out the app and move on. You’re not going to miss a meal or the latest episode of Lost and definitely not precious sleep time because of it.  That’s ok; if every video game that billed itself as addictive truly was, society would have ground to a stop sometime around the mid-1980s.  The human race would have Read More
Just like last Friday, this Friday is loaded with opportunities to pick up some great games for free and on the cheap.  Since we have already highlighted the free ones, below are three high-profile games that recently received a price drop. ($6.99 -> $2.99): The sequel to Altair’s Chronicles follows the main character Ezio as he travels to Spain in order to free his fellow assassins. The game is a side-scrolling affair where you control Ezio with an on-screen slider and action buttons to jump, attack, and go into stealth mode. Gameplay mostly consists of running and leaping from rooftop to rooftop, and stealthily sneaking up on foes in order to take them down. A new combat system is in place for dueling with a foe that allows you to unleash combos and counter attacks. The game also features a bunch of unlockable items, achievements, and about 6 hours of gameplay. Read More

Tilt to Live is an arcade game similar to many of the zombie survival games found in the app store. But instead of joysticks and guns, the app relies solely on tilting the device to keep the player alive. Your small arrow is being attacked by a bunch of red dots and it's your job to stay alive for as long as possible. To do this, you will need to tilt your device to move the arrow around the level. At anytime in the level, there are at least 3 different powerups that can be collected which will enable the player to eliminate some of the red dots. Once a powerup is grabbed it is immediately activated and will do some damage to the dots. One neat feature about this app is how the red dots interact. Sometimes, the dots will form together to create large shapes that attack or they Read More

Published: March 4, 2010 Comment         You are Larson City’s new DA, the name’s Jeremy Irons, and you’re the city’s last hope! after the last DA was found dead on a pier, everyone else turned and fled the town. Irons was hot on the trail of the infamous “Missile Kill Mike” when the chase went sour and at the worst possible time and he ran out of ammo. Fleeing the scene, Irons called for backup as he headed for an old abandoned warehouse. One of Mike’s infamous Kill Missiles impacted and trapped Irons in a tomb of debris. With nothing to do but wait for your backup, you pull out your trusty iPhone with it’s clear network signal. Play tilt to live on your iPhone as you bide your time. Tilt to live is an epic journey in which you must save yourself from genocidal red dots attempting to swarm Read More
Forget these fancy pants new kids on the block like Popcaps and their mind-blowingly huge Plants vs Zombies title — if you’re a real gamer, you’ll be spending your cash on Final Fantasy I and II for $8.99 a pop. That’s what most of the sites are saying, anyway. I would actually much rather play Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies, or the newly released Tilt to Live than relive a Japenese RPG experience dating back to 1987. I guess I just don’t like grinding (in the non-sexy dancing way) against monsters for hours upon hours on end and rotating between “attack” and my various basic elemental spells. I’ll stop there, though. I don’t want to grinch up everyone else’s childhood/youth gaming experiences, so I’ll just end this post with some handy iTunes links: Read More

This game is fantastic. It's basically starball on crack. You tilt to guide the arrow away from the red balls while picking up power ups to destroy them. timing is key in this game to get the many multipliers and try to get the best world score, did i mention the online leader boards and in game Awards/Achievements
