I just spent two days @ Watkins Glen International with Schattenbaum PCA. The GPS lap tracker is accurate. Since I'm currently unable to put a transponder on my Porsche, this app is a solid lap-time recorder for any amateur driver.

2 suggestions for that 5th star: 1) The lap timer should lock onto GPS when you select the lap timer function, and actually start timer when you hit Begin. 2) Some way to store the cornering/braking/etc. data for later review.

i haven't been able to take it to the track yet - i ride motorcycles and this could be a challenging situation. i can't start the lap timer with a glove on. which brings me to my question: where is the developer? Their website has been down for days.

Problems with this program for $12: 1. No ability to save, store, recall data! The whole point of this software is to monitor data for interpretation of driving improvement. This should clearly be a function of a program at this price point. 2. The lap timer function needs the ability to set and remember/store a start point. It also lacks acuracy at high speeds. Also a listing of the difference between lap times would be nice. Make some updates, and I'll revise this review. It sucked having to use a manual lap timer because of these faults.

I bought this to use as a lap timer. I used it for two days at a PCA Driver's Ed at Barber Motorsports.

Quite simply doesn't work. All I wanted was a lap timer for a road course. Bought it and it failed to give even a single correct lap time.
