This app would be worth paying for

No, I'm not a friend of the developer. I downloaded this to keep all my travel stuff organized. Been using several other apps and wanted something comprehensive. This works great--imports my travel info just fine. Has helped me stay more organized. Thanks for making this available.
Good app, with room for improvement

I travel a lot for work and this app has allowed me to shed a lot of printouts that I had to carry around before. I love the Google map integration to the addresses in my trip. The option to email my travel info to auto populate it in the app is also very cool.
However, the app crashes on and off. And the flight status can be improved a lot since it's just a link to an outside webpage right now. Perhaps take a page from the Trip Case app to improve flight info?
Also facebook or linkedin integration would make it more inticing for corporate and group travellers.

Makes my job a billion times easier. I've asked all of my co-workers to install this app - so we can share travel info. This is better than carrying around notes, papers etc... when traveling.
Great Service, Good App

Tripit is great, and I like this app a lot. It has some quirks that really bug me, though. Biggest is that when you launch it, you must wait while it attempts to synchronize. Even though it caches data from the last sync, it will not let you look at it until it has tried to update. If you click on a trip, a popup scolds, "still synchronizing.". That's annoying when you've just gotten into a taxi and need to tell the driver where you are going!
Close but not quite perfect

Integrates with tripit to give quick mobile access to itineraries but is missing some key features for tripit pro users.

Perfect for the road warrior. Would be nice not to leave the app to go to google.maps or safari everytime.

If you use tripit, you will want this app. It gives a very nice, clean view of your itenerary. And it is integrated with with Maps (for maps/directions), Safari (for flight status or to contact booking agents for your hotel/phone/car), and the phone (again, to call booking agents).

Still enough bugs in this application that it's hardly worth using at this point. Customer service keeps saying "it's a known issue and will be addressed in the next update". TripIt website is fantastic, but the implementation of this App was juvenile. Offline access works for a little, but then at some point the itineraries magically vanish (biggest problem by far). I have some itineraries that just don't display properly (e.g., a flight shows the wrong date), even though it's correct on the website. If your Airline name is too long, it won't show the flight number. They really need to get on fixing these bugs -- this is more of a beta version.
Would be five stars were it not for one little problem...

...No offline access! I discovered this limitation the hard way. I got off a plane in an area with spotty data coverage, loaded the app to find out where my rental car was, and saw all of my trip info disappear before my eyes! That's right... for a split second it was available, then it disappeared once the app concluded it had no data access.
Good app, but need to add offline access

I like the simple and intuitive layout of the app and the fact that it just works, but need to add offline access to the records. I recently experienced a delay and wanted to view my connecting flight info on the airplane and was not able to. Would be great if there is offline access.
Blows the doors off the tripit Web App

If you use tripit, get this. It is way better than their mobile web page.
Great for offline access; navigation can be awkward.

I love the Tripit service and website, and I love being able to view my itineraries on my iPhone. You have always been able to do that with the iPhone-optimized mobile version of the Tripit website, but when you are on a plane or without data service for whatever reason, you can't view the website. I was pleased to see Tript release an iPhone app to fill this gap. Functionally, other than providing offline access to your itenerary data, the app is not much different from the mobile website, and that's fine. It is also visually superior to the mobile website. My only real complaint relates to usability. When you click on a link in the app for flight status, a map, a booking website, etc., it closes the Tripit app and opens the link in Safari. When you are done viewing that link and close Safari, you have to open Tripit again, open the itinerary again, and follow all the steps to navigate back to where you were in the intinerary. Ideally the app would open links within the app itself, using the app as the browser rather than Safari. Alternatively, when you reopen the app after following a link in Safari, it should reopen to where you were when you clicked the link. In this respect, the mobile website is actually much easier to use than the app.
Fatally flawed- only works with internet connection

If you are not connected to the internet you can't view your trip information, just what you need when you're right in the middle of travel. TripIt, please ask your programmers to learn about offline viewing...
Wrong dates

I would love to be able to trust the iPhone app, but dates are showing up wrong when viewing my trip in the iPhone app... Even though everything is correct on the website! Needs an urgent fix, or the ability to at least edit details in the app.

I just planned out an upcoming trip itinerary with tripit. It's awesome! I forwarded all my confirmation emails and it had no trouble adding all the info to my itinerary. It worked flawlessly with emails from orbitz, celebrity cruises, priceline, hotwire, avis, and hertz. I downloaded the iphone app and am able to access the itinerary from the phone. I only have two main complaints about the app itself: 1) itineraries are view-only from the phone so you can't update, and 2) you have to be online in order to view it. It'd be nice if it actually downloaded all the data to the phone so you can browse while offline. We are taking a cruise and will be without cell/wifi service for most of our trip. So, I am mostly just in love with tripit the service rather than tripit the iphone app, but I'm sure future versions will add features.
Excellent except for Amtrak

Works seamlessly with the TripIt website, but downloaded Amtrak itineraries cause the iPhone app to crash. If this were fixed, five stars!
No seat assignment, caching is not working

Works while connected to wifi, would be nice if the seat assignment was shown. In the next fix it would be great if the caching worked, not all airports have free wifi and the seat assignment was shown.

I've set up my upcoming vacation with all the information I'll need, all in one place. I couldn't be more pleased. Very easy to use, and forwarding emails that will automatically fill in on my itinerary is fantastic! I emailed customer support today with a question, and got an answer in 1/2 an hour. I was shocked! You can't go wrong with this app.

I had been using Flight Track Pro and I thought it was great, but I would still need to login into tripit to get the rest of my travel info (hotels, car, etc). Now I can get it all done with one app! Another thing I like is that it lists your flight confirmation number on your itinerary so it is quick to pull up when you are standing in line at the airport.

I always use TripIt for all of my travel and shared travel plans. I'm so glad it's native as an iPhone app. Unfortunately, I wish it was as robust as their website (past trips, location, etc.). It doesn't fully support the full robustness of the iPhone - yet. Great job nonetheless!

Better fo my eyes than the calendar notes

TripIt rocks! I use to put all my travel plans in the notes section of my calendar. Reading the notes is a little difficult since the font is so small. TripIt solves this and in addition, I don't have to cut/past info to my calendar. The iCal calendar sync to my Google/Iphone calendar works too. It would be nice if the $$ amounts from the confirmations got to my iPhone. When I get to a destination sometimes the folks at that end like to ask 'what I was billed' and its nice to be able to look like I know what I should be charged. TripIt is awesome; I look forward to updates!!

For the hesitant consumer.... It won't hurt to check out this App. It's amazing how much eases your travel headaches. I was using TripIt with my TravelPro App. But, as soon as I saw this I grabbed it. Now, I'm hoping that the phone app is as great as the online web application. I love what you're doing to make traveling so much easier. I hope that it only gets better and better. Because, as a business traveler... I can't afford mix-ups. Wow... Did I actually already pay 9 bucks for the TravelPro App?

Gotta say this is a handy app. It was able to piece together an accurate itinerary from 3 different emails, and this will save untold frustration from having to plow through different emails for addresses/confirmation numbers/flight numbers etc. I did manually make a couple changes to times on the web site just so the display order was different, and I had to log out and back in on phone for changes to show, but still pretty painless. I travel for business every week and this will easily become one of my most used apps.
Finally and at a great price!

There's enough to worry about when you're traveling without having to keep track of every last detail on your itinerary. TripIt's app does that work for you, and it's FREE.
