I like TweetCaster a lot. It's simple, but has great innovative features (Zip It!), and a pretty nice UI. I also really like the widgets. One big complaint: It seems like it's trying to save my spot in my stream, but sometimes it just loses it and jumps to the top (on reopening or after opening a link in the browser). Please fix. I hate losing my spot. I'll buy the pro version if this bug is fixed. One suggestion: I would like a way to see when my tweets have been retweeted (and by whom).

When I select "exit application" I expect the app to actually exit. This one doesn't, it stays running in the background and pulling Twitter updates. I use multiple Twitter accounts, and I want to be able to easily switch from one to another. This is NOT easy to do with this application. Tweetcaster is also very slow to respond to screen clicks on my Samsung Captivate. I'm going back to TweetDeck. No ads there, faster, easier to use, actually exits.

Was so happy and now it keeps timing out. Ongoing issue for two weeks at least. Something is horribly wrong. Hoped update would fix. Hate new scheduling tweets benefit. Twitter is supposed to be NOW not hours later. Makes the principle of immediate networking NULL and VOID. Might as well have a machine send out random tweets. How are you supposed to chat with someone when you don't know they are on service or just a machine. Defeats entire concept!!! BlackjackDebbi

Great app, easy to use. Only problem I've encountered is that it regularly crashes to desktop in Android 4 - I am using the Galaxy Nexus and it does this practically every time I run it. Seems to happen randomly - sometimes after a minute or two of use, other times it will run for a whole session and I'll actually close it myself. I suspect that it has something to do with certain banner ads running at the bottom if the display, but cannot confirm this.

If you want a great twitter app then download this i recently went from blackberry to android but my bb came with a twitter app already installed &i liked the way my bb was set up everytime i got a tweet my bb would vibrate ¬ify me my android wasn't like that when i 1st got it i went to twitter thru my browser &always had to check my tweets manually i was a fish outta water to be honest but this app gave me that old feel back i knew it was great when it notified. Me that 1st tweet dwnld this app

Love it! I love the interface and every function is her in one app versus having to use several. I just wish I could color code my TL like Plume allowed me too because that's the only reason I still use more than one app. Having that easy to identify color per follower is useful. Oh and a downfall is it doesn't tell If the person is following you back. At least I've yet to to find this function. But other than that it's great, clean easy layout.

Love it, but selecting a tweet on the widget shouldn't just launch the app at the top of my incoming tweet stream and make me scroll through countless tweets to find it again just to select it again...ZZZ! Can't it launch the app with the tweet I selected (in widget) at top of screen in app? It's great having a proper scrollable widget, but in my gmail widget, when I select a message, gmail opens on that message... selecting a post on my Google+ widget opens the app on that post...Surely this one should too

Overall it's a very solid app with better photo support than the official app, a much better widget, and a bevy of subtle details that stand out. But its notification system is DRASTICALLY less reliable than the official app which is enough to nearly kill its use for me. The official app has push notifications which I receive reliably and INSTANTLY. Meanwhile TweetCaster will bother to inform me of the same notification, minutes or hours later, or sometimes not until I manually open it. That's definitely not okay for my needs. So it will remain installed for browsing and its widget, but I have to leave the official app installed for its notifications. Fix that and I can switch entirely and consider paying for Pro.

The previous update made me have to hit "retry" to "unable to retrieve tweets" (some kind of message like that) EVERY time I refreshed or sent a tweet. Now, with this update, I have re-sign back in every few hours even though I set up Tweetcaster to Remember My Password. Never once did I have this problem before this update. To everyone complaining about the loss of 'jump to top' feature - it hasn't gone - you just do it differently (tap the active tab button - eg the little bird if you're looking at your timeline). It's easier this way but would rather have the the 'jump to top' button as well as new method rather than the 'top apps' button, which is just more ads. Prefer it to the official app and website. Would like easier way to access trends, otherwise excellent!

I am used to the standard twitter client on Blackberry, but decided to try out this app after switching to a Droid. So far it has worked just fine. My only complaint so far is that it is a contributing offender in getting advertisements onto my phone. Several other applications are to blame as well, so this app only lost one star for its contribution. After paying through the nose for a device, who really wants to see ads on every other page though.

Tried the others. Hopefully twitter Apps for android will improve. for now this is as good as it gets, and the best in my view. Its fairly intuitive. If you are JUST STARTING OUT w/ twitter from your android phone go with this app: ease of use, Fast, and choices for personal preferences under the hood if you want. Basically all functions: feed, interactions, direct messages, etc are all easy to view and use. If you are an expert Tweeter (you are probably not reading this) check other apps

if the facebook integration was a little easier to figure out. I tend to use it in portrait mode rather than landscape, so it took me a while to figure out you need to turn it to landscape and the accounts window appears. Maybe an icon in portrait that lets you know there's more on the screen? This may be me. Otherwise it's easily the best Twitter client I've used on Android, and I've used nearly all of them. Good Tab integration on A100 as well.

I have paid for this (and their Friendcast app) as I want to support top development on Android. This review is just on tweetcaster. it is the best looking twitter client. Bravo. But it is just too hit and miss on performance. It has not been usable on my Samsung 10.1 tablet - it just makes the tablet unusable. Sometimes it FC's, but most times not. But if I do not have it installed, my tablet is much better. if I have it installed and I reboot tablet, it runs good until I open Tweetcaster. Then I know I reboot will be needed within 20 minutes. Ugh. On my galaxy nexus, it historically has run better, but lately it is FC'ing more and is starting to really kill my phone's performance. Since I paid, I am vested in it and will check back down the road. But right now its downsides far outweigh its upside.
