Every calendar has an end it doesn't mean the end of the world

Mayan calendar ends 2012, so why an image of aztec calendar? I like the app but think this should be clarified.

Please remove the Aztec Calendar (also known as Sun stone, Stone of sacrifices) from this App.

Some people say it's the end of the world, some say it's not. It's a mystery. Scientists say that the sun and the planets will line up with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. Which will cause freaky stuff to the Earth like... Earthquakes, Tsunamies, Volcanoes erupting all that kind of stuff.

Aztec is not Mayan

As a Maya archaeologist, I like to see any and all apps that promote a better understanding of ancient Maya achievements. The Aztec calendar stone image here is very nice, but the Aztec calendar had no function to arrive at the year 2012. If you want to have a fully functional and informative Maya calendar app, download iMaya.

Just a superstition. But it would be funny to see it go 3...2...1...BOOM!

As if there were not enough Maya glyphs, the use of the Aztec Sun stone betrays the abuse and ignorance of those developing this application. It is like using a flag from Russia to represent Ukrania. Plain ignorance. Remove the aztec sun stone from your Long Count appplication.

Awesome FREE app - thank you! I've been counting down the 2012 for a while. This app is beautiful and yes it's the Mayan calendar and the Aztec suntone, but the Aztecs decended from the Maya <>. If you're here it's for a reason. Check it out.

Ok so the calendar ends on December 21, 2012 because of a math equation, not because someone just chose a date....and Indian Jordan, your an idiot, yes every cal ends when you get to the end of the year, and then it starts over...there is no REAL end to our cal's only the Mayan's have an actual end. With that said I like the app

This was the first app I put on my Itouch and i think its super cool and it helps me not sit around and waste my time :D

The app is great but without the info bar at the top it would look a lot better, especially with that nice background. For those of you who do not know what happens TURN ON THE FREAKING HISTORY CHANNEL. Seriously it will only tale you about 5 minutes of watching it to find out.

It's an ok app it does what it says But anyways this goes to the person that said the Mayan calendar ends on 2012....I think u should do some research,the calendar does not end in 2012

Nothing will happen in 2012!! Only a dumbass would believe that the world is ending or doing anything then. Yes, the Maya calendar, NOT AZTEC, is moving from one baktun to the next on that date, but nothing will happen!

I agree JDuenas that's one of the stupedist things I've ever heard; Great app, personally I don't believe it's the end of the world on 2012 but hey it's definately interesting.

I have become very interested in this stuff ever since I started having these dreams abou the end off the world in the 2nd grade then all of these movies then txt bks and then Internet I want to beleive this is the end of the world. But I know it was just a calender that ended on a day, a random date how could some civilization do long ago predict the greatest event in human history with no technology. But was it just a coincedence cultures all over the world were creating pyramids. They stated in writing they had help from the gods of the sky(extra terrestrial lifeforms) what it all of this informtion was from a source greater than we will ever be, they always being a few steps ahead in this technological world. What it the "end" is just a bew begining maybe the universe will slowly tear itself apart freeze in time,the big rip the alignment. End It all so quickly giving is not even a chance to survive
