twitterena is very, very nice, but as a user of twitterfon who would love to switch over to twitterena, it's lacking the location option when writing tweets, a search feature with proximity and a favorites category. C'mon twitterena!

I have tried many different twitter apps and this is by far the best. It has never crashed on me and the speed of everything is great. Great fun following and being followed (follow me yoyoma31314). Great job on creating this app. Tweet Tweet

Just downloaded and tried this App out. It's OK. The clouds show up but only when I reply to a tweet or post a new tweet. The main thing that's missing for me is the top trends. Maybe it's in the new version?I hope or I will be deleting this App. Once the new version is released I will update my review. 

This has replaced twitterfon as my app of choice for twitter! Unlike most apps that are black, this is bright and cheery! It does have the sky background!!!! It's there when you reply, message or retweet! The designer is working on cool updates! I give it a perfect 5 *!!! Well worth 1.99!!!

Also like the first comment, I am a twitterfon user, and this is ALMOST identical. It is cuter, but the one thing I would like is the autoscroll to unread messages option. And I don't have clouds behind my tweets like the screenshot does. But this app is nice. Keep it up.

Who ever says this is lame hint mr. dm is a looser, a mole from another app client. Get a life. If your so good go develop your own app. This app is great. It has no clutter. Get it.

I bought it becase it was 99 cents - but this is NOTHING special ad it's almost identical to twitterfon (probably used as a starting point) buy with less features. This app adds NOTHING NEW TO anything you can get for free except for the stupid clouds behind. If you are like me still triying to find the perfect twitter app - twitterfon and tweetie are the best ones. To me, the next wave of twitter apps need to ORGANIZE the massive amount of tweets I follow or receive. Any app not addressing this issue is missing the boat. There are many free apps that do an excellent job already. I want my 99 cents back! Do sometheing diff if you want money dudes! The stupid reviewers asking for search and trends so they can give it 5 stars or for it to be "perfect" THERE ARE ALREADY FREE APPS THAT HAVE MASTERED IT LIKE TWITTERFON!!! if you want to spend 99 on this, instead spend 2.99 on Tweetie which has everything and gets better every week with an update. This app should be free since it is just a very weak basic twitter app!

A friend of mine recommended it to me, I just thought that it was just another useless Twitter client but I was shocked it runs real smoothly. I run am a dev for the iPhone 3.0 OS and sometimes when I run TwitterFon it slows down my iPhone and makes it reboot, this hasn't done it once. Congrats I give it a thumbs up, come out with more updates soon =]

I installed the new update. Glad to see the clouds. But that seems to be the only thing new........ Where are the top trends?? HOw can a Twitter App not show you the top trends? I wouldn't say the App is lame, I would say it is STILL missing a key component. If pretty clouds in the background is what you are looking for in a Twitter App then this is the one for you. If you are looking to keep up on the Trends of Twitter look to a different App.........

I love the view! It's gorgeous. But, I was wondering if you could make a stormy view, too. Make it a setting and so we can switch back and forth. Use greys and storm clouds. To be able to switch back and forth whenever we please would be fun. Please please do this!!

This isn't a bad Twitter application. It's a little different then what I'm used to. I love the background of the clouds. I don't like the fact that's there is NO SETTINGS. It's bothering me. I used Tweetie app as well. That is a good one. Twitterena is an average app for 99 cents. Can't really complain for what you pay for. If you have patenice to figure everything out. Be my guest. Also, recommend adding an update that sends a SMS to your phone. I'm still working on figuring that out. :-)

This is my fave twitter app. To the user who says his toolbar doesn't have search like the screen shot, its because that is 2.0! It is with the app store now awaiting their approval. I follow the maker of this app on twitter (@aweekes) and there are lots of BIG improvements and several new features coming in the 2.0 which should be out any day now! Please do research before leaving a very bad review. I don't see ANY other app makers taking the time to interact with customers better than this one. He will ALWAYS answer ANY and ALL questions and comments on Twitter!

I downloaded this yesterday and my tool bar on the bottom does not have a search feature. All I can do is tweet and look at replied. This app is garbage and deceitful. Twitterfon has you beat hands down and it's free!!!

Twitterena is very, very nice and I recommend it to all basic tweeters. I was using twitterfon(free) and I found that this app is so much nicer for only $1.00. The only thing it's lacking is a search feature (with proximity) and a favorites category. REVIEW UPDATE: The latest version update now has the location option for tweeting that we asked for and future version 2.0 samples look very promising! You earned another star from me. The elitist reviewer below me wants you to shell out more money for Twitterlator Pro. Why would I want such a complex app when I want to do is tweet and follow up? Waste of money and he seems like nothing more than the competition tryin to steal away users.

I like it when a developer is constantly working, improving, updating. This guy is all 3. Looks great, very simple to use, and it's cheap. Get on it while you can....it's only a buck! A mountain dew costs more!!

I've got seven Twitter clients on my iPhone and this is one of the suckiest (functionwise) along with twinkle. The layout is nice. Oh pretty clouds. I did NOT see a function which shows nearby people. Pretty mediocre app. Tweetie($2.99), twitterlator pro($4.99 and let's you make groups for the people you follow), and twitterfon (free) are still your best bet for functionality.

Very easy to use and fun to look at while you tweet. There are a few features (like search) that it is lacking, but I hear a new version is in the works...can't wait to see it!

First I'd like to acknowledge the creator of this app. His patience and willingness to listen to his consumers is to be commended. I can honestly say, that after quite a few conversations with the creator, my needs were met with the update to 2.0 of this app. I really enjoy using this app, as it has a very easy to use interface, and everything is just where it ought to be. Ease of use is a big plus for me, being new to Twitter. I look forward to future updates, which I'm sure will be more than we could ask for. Kudos to Andy Weekes, and all the Twitterena users, for the shared ideas which truly made this app quite the contender.

This is the greatest twitter app ever. Blows tweetie out of the water. The maker of this app @aweekes talks to us on twitter, and answers everyone. He is constanly working on improvements, and he takes requests on how to improve this app and what would make it better. I don't see tweetie or twitterfon doing this. Get this app play with it. You'll see how good it is.

I now can give u 5 stars. I also have tweetie and will no longer be using it. This app does everything tweetie does but with cute cloud backgrounds which is a reason to buy this app alone. I love the brightness and colors of the app. Very good update. Get this app while u can for 99. Only 1 suggestion. We should be able to change the background color and be able to keep the clouds or have a solid background color.

Twitterena is in my opinion, hands down the best looking (and sounding!) twitter client. It's beautifully and cleverly designed. I recommend it to all tweeters. I was using twitterfon(free) and I found that this app is so much nicer and it's only $1.00. I've been using Twitterena since it's beginning and its gotten better and better. This developer has continually listened to his users and has made this the best twitter client for the iPhone.

Can't see conversation threads. Can't click on links at all. Can't change theme.

Love the 2.0 update. Look'n forward to a favorites add on and maybe a Landscape mode. Recommend! 

I love Twitterena! Not only is it a bright and cheerful alternative to some of the other Twitter clients out there, many of which feature dark backgrounds, but it also keeps improving with every update. The developer is really on top of his game. If you follow him on Twitter, he's very quick to respond to your questions, and he's always open to suggestions on how to improve Twitterena in future updates. Honestly, I can't say enough how great this app is. Download it today and you won't be disappointed!

I have to apologize to the developer...the settings are in the iPhones' settings...DOH! (However, it would be nice if it had a way to get to them from the GUI, or at least told you when first launching the app.) I was using iPhone Firmware 2.2.1 when I first installed this app, and thus were the memory leak problems. The app was using about 15MB of RAM, and would gradually eat up more until crashing. After upgrading to iPhone Firmware 3.0 the memory usage dropped to 7MB-10MB, which is much better! ;) Needless to say, if you are going to run this app, you need to upgrade to iPhone Firmware 3.0

Very clean, smooth running twitter app. I've downloaded and bought every twitter app (Yes every twitter app) and the look and feel of this app are awesome. Runs very smooth with no crashes (yet). I use to be a hard core Twitterrific and Tweetie but I think I'll use this for a while. Guys its only 99 cents. do yourself a favor and try it.

Twitterena is a fast and simple interfaced twitter app. It is very friendly in appearance with its' floating clouds and bright colors. The new tweet sound is a cute and unique feature. TinyURL support (with Safari bookmarlet) works like a charm. Overall, I consider Twitterena as a wise and necessary 99 cents upgrade from TwitterFon.

Update: After all the updates to this, this FAR surpasses twitterfon. The developers are great (follow them on twitter!) and this is the most pleasing to the eye and fun application to use. I updating my review to say that the new version is awesome!!! The dissappearing text has been fixed and now I am a happy girl! Besides sometimes the text disappearing when you highlight, is a great application. I am a casual user and now it seems I use twitter more because of it. I it!!

The background kills it, please add a plain white background, then it would be perfect!

Best background cheeryness with choice of rainbows, twinkling stars, clouds or plain gr8 you get choice even other apps don't or don't with such fun. Love the birdy tweeting when you have messages,Twitlonger is a very unique to twitterenan feature when you have more to say than 140 characters thats really nice when needed! All in all a simple interface that rumors it will have even more good stuff in 2.4 like favorites and even smoother scrolling and font size!! I Luv Twitterena!

I love this app, I used twitterfon before this just deleted it because of the ads. I hate ads. I love this app because of how you can customize it. Please add more backgrounds :) do u think you could add a feature where you can change your profile pic via the iPhone?! If you could that would be awesome!! Thnx 

I switched to twitterena when twitterfon went with ads and haven't looked back. Tweetdeck is way to buggy right now. This Twitter app does everything I need and the customization is great. Only a few negatives to point out: I wish the settings could be changed from inside the app. Right now the app has to be closed and settings are under the iPhone settings icon Since the 2.4 update the app has crashed on me twice. Never crashed before that Also since 2.4 I have experienced a blank screen on the main "tweet" page after looking at the @mentions page. Had to restart the app to fix it. Only happened 2 times so far And last, the @mention page shows all my mentions highlighted in green. Not sure if it was like this in 2.3(just can't remember) I'd prefer the highlight goes away after I read the new mentions. This is just a preference. Not really a complaint I'm sticking with this app. @aweekes has done a good job and keeps his followers updated on the status of twitterena. 4 stars because there is always room for improvement.

This is my favorite Twitter app. I like the way it updates your timeline - colorizing your unread tweets and automatically putting you at the 1st unread tweet. I also like the option to change themes. It comes with 5 different themes.
