Vimeo para iOS ahora reproduce vídeos a 1080p
Calendar16 Tue, 10 Apr 2012 19:30:22 UTC +00:00
Contenido relacionado (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch): Read More

Vimeo launches new iOS app at the MWC 2012
Calendar16 Tue, 28 Feb 2012 17:30:59 UTC +00:00
Video sharing service Vimeo launched a new version of its application to address the problems users had with the previous app release, and introduce a couple of new features. As far as we’re able to check it out, no longer will Vimeo crash, at least not that often (we haven’t been able to test it out thoroughly). Moreover, version 2.0 comes with a bunch of new features, mimicking most of what you got used to on the web-based Vimeo. Here’s what you can do with Vimeo for iOS 2.0: Vimeo for iOS remains a free app and it’s compatible with and above, iPad, iPod Touch running iOS 4.3 and above. Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using Read More

Vimeo has updated its video-viewing app to version 2.0, providing new user interfaces for both the iPhone and the iPad. The iPad version is a now native app, and the iPhone version has been tweaked to be easier to use, which is always nice. The app also now lets you shoot and create projects, and browse Vimeo's content channels all without actually having to log in to the service, which is pretty nice. The new version also includes full integration with the new Vimeo Music Store, which is a marketplace for musicians to upload music, which can then be purchased and used in user videos. This allows for Vimeo uploaders to have access to music they can commercially license in their content, and lets musicians make a little bit of money when having their music used. There are also quite a few free tracks available for use as well, so you Read More
Vimeo is a popular alternative to YouTube for sharing videos. Vimeo is known for hosting higher quality pieces and short films, thanks to its pro accounts. The service previously had just an iPhone app, but today has updated its app to version 2.0, bringing support for the iPad. The iPad UI lets you navigate through Vimeo’s functionality natively and also lets you play video full screen. As you can see, it looks very high quality. Vimeo for iOS also features: Along with viewing video content, you can comment and like other peoples’ videos from inside of the iOS app. You can also now browse for videos while watching one, or even edit your own videos from within the app. The update looks really cool, and if you’re a devoted Vimeo user you should definitely check it out. You can download the updated Vimeo for iOS app on the iTunes App Store for free. Read More
Vimeo For iPad: It's About More Than Just Watching Videos
Calendar16 Mon, 27 Feb 2012 19:45:08 UTC +00:00
Vimeo pushed out an update to its iOS app today that includes compatibility with the iPad. The video hosting service has long had a presence on the iPhone and iPod Touch, but this upgrade brings it to the screen for which it is perhaps best suited, aside from one's television. As one would expect from Vimeo, the interface features a clean, effective design. The iconography on the navigation will look familiar to existing users, but this is not a mindless port of the desktop website onto a tablet. They've optimized the experience for the form factor, as one should. Naturally, that means that the UI is stripped down considerably, but the same cannot quite be said for the functionality, which remains robust. Much of what Vimeo is capable of on the desktop is included here. Yes, that means browsing and watching videos made by amateurs and professionals alike. Interactive features such Read More
New iPhone, iPad and Android Apps for January 2012
Calendar16 Wed, 08 Feb 2012 19:00:00 UTC +00:00
As a video platform, Vimeo has always played second fiddle to YouTube. Yet, Vimeo does attract a more professional grade of videographer and often the contents of Vimeo are much more polished than the much uploaded to YouTube from millions of would-be Internet stars. Vimeo finally has a new app for iOS and Android and it is everything you would expect from the platform in terms of quality video and performance. Users can view videos, manage their accounts and upload all from one app. The Android version of Vimeo requires 2.3 Gingerbread or above. Producteev (Free - iOS, Android) Talk about cross-platform. Producteev is a task manager available for Macs and Windows PCs, iOS and Android, IM and email. It is basically everywhere. As a task manager, one of its best features is the ability to work offline so you can access your tasks and projects from everywhere. Imagine being an Read More
How to Edit iPhone Videos for Free with Vimeo
Calendar16 Mon, 04 Apr 2011 20:30:29 UTC +00:00
Posted 04/04/2011 at 12:30pm | by Steve Paris Vimeo just released an app (iTunes link) to help your browse their catalogue of videos and edit your own. Although it isn’t too good at the former, its editing capabilities are very impressive for a free program and you should definitely take a look at it if you fancy making your own short films. We reviewed it here, and this tutorial will guide you through the basics. Note that Vimeo is only supported on iOS devices with video-recording capabilities: That's the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and fourth-gen iPod touch. It can run on the iPad 2 (but not the iPad 1), but not as a native app. Blowing it up to fill the iPad's screen makes the interface clunky, and your videos look a bit pixelated, but if you don't want to shell out $4.99 for iMovie for iPad, it'll work. Can the iPhone Revive the Home Movie?
Calendar16 Mon, 04 Apr 2011 19:39:01 UTC +00:00
On Saturday evening, I, along with thousands of other fervent music fans, was jammed into Madison Square Garden in New York, helping bid LCD Soundsystem adieu when I noticed a fellow concertgoer filming part of the show with his smartphone. I stopped bouncing for a few minutes to watch him record when I realized that the application capturing the action on stage was using a filtered lens, much like the ones that help give photos snapped with Instagram and Path their vintage veneer. Later, after spending some time on Google, I came across a handful of relatively new smartphone applications with names like 8MM Vintage Camera and iSupr8 that aim to recreate the nostalgic effect of a Super 8 camcorder by digitally adding the weathered look and sepia tint to cellphone videos. Photo apps like Instagram, PizPlz, Path and Hipstamatic that add cool effects to amateur cellphone pictures, transforming them into Read More

The Week's Best iPhone Apps [Video]
Calendar16 Fri, 01 Apr 2011 22:00:05 UTC +00:00
Vimeo: It's Vimeo videos finally available in app form for the iPhone. If you're familiar with Vimeo, and you should be, you know what you're getting: a lot of professional quality videos, gorgeous time lapses, interesting movies, and just higher quality videos than the norm. But the thing that sets Vimeo app even farther ahead of the pack is that it has a simple video editing feature too. Yeah, it's sorta like a dumbed down version of iMovie but it's completely free! You can add titles and transitions, stitch clips together and even throw in a soundtrack. Free Zapd: Zapd is like Tumblr, in that it makes making pretty websites super easy, but Zapd does all its web building magic from your iPhone. You pick a theme (and they're all rather nice!), upload some photos, add captions or links and you're pretty much done and ready to share your creation (though Read More
New Apps for Your iPhone and Android: March 2011 Edition

SocialCam: This app offers you an easy way to share videos with your friends. With the app, you can record, tag and share your videos in addition to browsing, liking and commenting on those belonging to friends. Kazaa: Instead of launching in the official app stores, Kazaa made its music subscription service available on mobile via www.kazaa.com. The decision was made primarily to thumb its nose at Apple, because of the company's "recent announcement that it will now keep 30% of revenue generated by new subscriptions and media purchases," says Zazaa. Color: At launch, this location-based photo sharing app was widely denounced by reviewers who weren't pleased with the user experience (but who were likely just expecting more given the outrageous $41 million in funding its creators received). Curious what all the fuss was about? Color is free for iPhone and Android. (Our coverage) QuickCam: A seriously fast iPhone camera app Read More
Vimeo for iPhone doesn't disappoint
Calendar16 Thu, 31 Mar 2011 20:30:00 UTC +00:00
Vimeo released an official iPhone app yesterday, and it does not disappoint. As a 1.0 release, it's impressive. Consider it a one-stop shop for watching, recording, editing and delivering video to Vimeo. There are a few bumps in the road, but all-in-all Vimeo for iPhone is a solid offering. Here's my experience with the app. UI Vimeo for iPhone is a portrait orientation kind of app. Unless you're shooting or viewing video, it wants to be vertical. You're first presented with your video library, aptly named "My Video Library." Across the top of the screen are the Camera and New ("+") buttons, followed by a list of your previously-uploaded videos. These can be viewed in list or thumbnail layout, and sorted by date or number of views. A search function returns results as you type, which is nice. At the bottom of the screen you'll find buttons for My Videos, Recordings, Read More

Vimeo Releases Free iOS App with Editing Capabilities
Calendar16 Wed, 30 Mar 2011 02:12:27 UTC +00:00
posted by Trey Trawick on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 7:12 pm.   Vimeo, a popular video sharing site targeted at content-creators, has released an official app for the iPhone. The app has iMovie-like HD video editing capabilities, complete with transitions, titles and effects, as well as the ability to use multiple clips and add different audio tracks. Users can also manage their Vimeo account, watch videos from their queue, and download existing videos to the camera roll. Completed videos can be exported and shared to the usual slew of social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and more. It’s a great alternative to Apple’s $4.99 solution, and works smoothly on the latest iPod Touch. The interface is very intuitive and quite pleasant, and the app is a joy to use overall. Here’s some of what’s inside: An easy-to-use video editor • Capture video with focus control and grid alignment • Combine, edit, and Read More
The video-sharing website Vimeo has finally released an iPhone app (iTunes link). And it's totally worth the wait. The new app doesn't just allow you to watch videos on your iPhone and share them to various social networks, but lets you actually edit the video as well. The app is well-designed and easy-to-use. It includes a video recording interface that should make your mobile videos better, letting you capture video with focus control and grid alignment. Then, once recorded, you can edit and trim your videos, adding transitions, titles, special effects and music. Finished videos can be uploaded to Vimeo from within the app as well. You can upload in high- or low-resolution and - important if you're on 3G - you can pause those uploads and resume them when you're on WiFi. In fact, you'll be able to accomplish pretty much everything that you'd do on the Vimeo website from Read More

Feature-Packed Official Vimeo iPhone App Out Now
Calendar16 Tue, 29 Mar 2011 16:18:51 UTC +00:00
While an official YouTube app comes as standard on your iPhone, you had to find other ways to browse through the content on Vimeo.  Now, after what seems like a very long absence, Vimeo have released their official iPhone app, and it does a whole lot more than simply letting you browse. Not only can you upload your own videos, but there is a video editing suite built-in so you can tweak your movies from inside the app.  Shooting a video this way gives a grid for composition and focus control, and the finished film is added to your Camera Roll.  Opening it up inside Vimeo provides the chance to trim and edit your footage, add titles, effects and transitions, plus music and other recordings. Once you’re happy with your film it can be uploaded via the app – including the option to pause and restart if you network coverage changes Read More
Vimeo for iPhone now available, features video editor
Calendar16 Tue, 29 Mar 2011 17:00:00 UTC +00:00
Vimeo expanded its video hosting service to include an iPhone application today. The new mobile application is integrated tightly into the Vimeo service and lets you easily edit and manage your existing video content as well as add new content recorded on your iOS device. The Vimeo application is feature rich and lets you upload new content and download existing clips to your camera roll. The account management feature lets you edit the details of your video clips and organize them into groups, channels and albums. You can also retrieve stats, such as daily views, likes and comments. The obligatory social networking features let you share your videos using Twitter, Tumblr, WordPress, email or SMS. To sweeten the pot, the Vimeo application also includes a built-in video capture tool and editor that lets you spruce up videos recorded by your phone before you share them with the world. Editor features are Read More

Vimeo App for iPhone Includes Editing Tools
Calendar16 Tue, 29 Mar 2011 14:23:35 UTC +00:00
Video-sharing site Vimeo has finally introduced an official iOS application. The app provides access to Vimeo’s library of online video, but it emphasizes the ability to record, edit and upload your own videos to the service first and foremost. That’s a wise move for a service that has to differentiate itself from clear market leader YouTube, which comes pre-installed on every shipping iOS device. When you first launch the app, it asks you to sign up for or log in to your Vimeo account, then immediately takes you to the “My Stuff” screen. But the first tab in the app’s bottom navigation bar is “My Videos,” and it allows you to either shoot a new video directly within the app or add an existing one from your iPhone’s library. If you’ve already have uploaded videos to Vimeo, they’ll appear on this screen, too. The second tab along the bottom navigation bar is a Read More
