After reading the prologue, I could already tell this story was gonna be great. It was gripping and interesting and the setting was from my favorite literary time period. Thanks for the story! I'm surprised no one has written a review for this yet... This deffinately needs to be featured

From the first scene at the fly infested Olympics to the final battle in the visceral mud and blood, I felt as if I were enveloped by the sights and sounds of an Ancient Greece brought to life by a gifted writer. Great story, great characters – I especially liked the beautiful, deadly archer Kallisto. I hope some Hollywood types get a hold of this and turn it into a movie. Can't wait for the sequel.

One thing that is truly amazing about this book is that I didn't have to pay for it. I have shelled out so much money for adventure books that never delivered the goods the way that Warrior did. I got so into this story. I haven't felt that way since I first read Dune years ago. At the time it seemed such an exotic locale and ancient Greece feels the same way. It's hard to believe that this story could have ever taken place and yet it is based on historical fact. I was so drawn into the story of these young heroes and their abilities.

I wasn't sure if I'd like a book titled 'Warrior' as I don't usually like books about war or violence. However, a friend of mine recommended this and after finishing the first couple of chapters I am totally hooked. Although it is about a violent period in Greek history, the history part is really fascinating and the violence isn't too gratuitous, but rather creates a mood for the times. So far I am really enjoying the characters and the excellent writing.

Where's the next book? I want to read it now! Why isn't this published?

I haven't read a book in years until this one. I downloaded it just to see how the books on the iPhone worked. Couldn't put this book down, I read the whole thing in 3 or 4 days. Can't wait for the sequal, and I agree this would make a sick movie

I love historical fiction especially about more ancient times. I was excited when I saw Warriors as a free download. Once I started I had hard time putting it down, which is always a good sign. The only problem is that you finish too fast and are left wanting more. It sounds like this author plans to make this a series and I can hardly wait for the next installment. I hope it is free too, but I would be willing to pay for stories like this.

Work productivity took a serious toll while I scrolled through the battlefields of ancient Greece as if I were in one of Ridley Scott's latest action-adventure extravaganzas. This is definitely on par with the other book by Smith I read, Stolen From Gypsies. I highly recommend this timely and engrossing tale. You will not be disappointed!

You know a book is good when you're reading it on the bus and you almost miss your stop because you're so into it. You really care about the characters because they become real to you. I've told half a dozen people about this book and they've all been totally blown away.

Best free book I've ever read. There are certain writers who put commerce over art. Then there are writers like Noble Smith. We live in an age of instant gratification and impatience. The life of a true artist is a lonely one indeed. Those who put art over commerce are to be applauded. It was evident from the first paragraph that it came from someone who gave everything he had to the book and his readers. This is not the way to get rich, but it is certainly the way to make a lifelong fan.

This is one of the best books I have read and I read hundreds of books each year. I found the book entertaining and difficult to exit even after reading several chapters. I just wanted to keep on reading. I'm looking forward to the sequel coming out this summer.

Anyone who hasn't given this 5 stars is crazy! I've read some of the low reviews and they are complaining about stuff like no audiobook option or a few typos. Stop being so anal and let yourself get engrossed in the story. I read many books throughout the year and this has to be one of the most addicting reads I've gotten my hands on in a while.

I rarely read for pleasure simply because I rarely find a book that I care to pick back up once I first put it down. Honestly, I haven't read a book cover to cover in over nine years, but from para one, I was hooked on this. It's a captivating story. I couldn't wait to pick it back up every time I had to put it down. When I finished and saw that I had to wait for part two in order to get the rest of the story, I was very disappointed. The editing is a little rough and the author uses some unconventional structure that those of us who use the internet regularly are accustomed to, but you don't normally see in books. Towards the end, I did find a couple grammatical errors, but nothing big... nothing that would keep me from enjoying the awesome story.

It's such an intense story, and im not even done with the first part of the book yet!!!!

great read... I like nothing better than to sink into a long entertaining book and Warrior definitely fit the bill. Looking forward to reading future installments. Hopefully someone will put them out in paperback so that I can read them the old fashioned analog way which is still the best way to dive into a great read. kudos to a great new writer who I hope to be reading for years to come.

very interesting and fun read

I honestly haven't read a book since high school (I'm now 26) but this book was so commanding that I lost myself in the story. I read at work in the tub anywhere I got a free second I would stop and read. 5 stars easy!!!!! And I can't wait to see what happens in Spartans at the Gates!!!!!

This was awesome. It has action, suspense, good storylines; it has it all. Just enough to tease you for when the Spartans arrive this summer and continue this amazing saga.

I am obsessed with Greek mythology, so needless to say I love this story. Gets you hooked in just the first chapter, great discription-you can actually imagin exactly how it would have looked

Easily one of the best books I've read recently. Whoever didn't give this book 5 stars has no idea what a good book is and considering that it was free makes it even better. I love how he just introduced chacecters with out to much build up the way he did that reminded me of Frankenstein. The sequel needs to come out soon because I am hooked!!
