Seit 2.5 Jahren verfolgen wir die Entwicklung vom iControlPad… Videostreaming-Service Netflix lässt seiner durchaus erfolgreichen iPad-Anwendung am heutigen Tag den iPhone-Nachwuchs folgen. Der offiziell nur für US-Kunden angebotene Filmservice verschlingt magere $9 US-Dollar im Monat und lädt ab heute eine Universal-Anwendung (kostenlos; US-Link) aus dem App Store. Außerdem mit nicht unerheblicher Spannung darf auf das, in der kommenden Woche folgende Apple-Event, geschaut werden. Der Termin: 01. September; 19 Uhr hiesiger Zeit. Neben dem (gewohnten) iPod-Line-up für das Herbst- und Wintergeschäft könnte sich auch in puncto AppleTV (eventuell bald ‘iTV’) etwas bewegen. Das ein iOS-Gerät die Fernbedienung als multimediale Schaltzentrale für einen solchen TV-Begleiter stellen könnte, scheint nicht an den Haaren herbeigezogen.
