TriviaBurst is a social trivia game for the iPhone. Instead of just a straight trivia game such as Millionaire, TriviaBurst brings the social aspect of gaming to trivia. Allowing you to play one on one directly against friends or in a group, TriviaBurst is a good game for the trivia lovers, but can definitely use some more polishing up. Since TriviaBurst is inherently a social game, it asks you to register an account when you first open it up. Once you have created an account, you can do many things from the menu. Exactly like the game show, complete with a Meredith Viera intro. Questions get progressively harder as to be expected. A nice touch is that your phone-a-friend is someone from your address book. Their picture is even displayed. The one and only complaint I have is that if you let your time run down to one or two seconds before using a life line, you do not have time to select the answer before your time expires...hence the 4 star rating. Otherwise very fun game. Recommended for Millionaire fans.

I agree with everyone else - the time runs out too quicky - should be selectable in options, or at least should not start ticking down for 5 seconds. Also need an option to "skip intro" - I'm tired of seeing the woman say "Let's play Millionaire"...gets old quick - need a skip option (or touch screen to skip). Fun game though, very entertaining.

This is my favorite television show and I have to say it is exactly the same. I prefer the version without the timer but I am just stoked to finally have this on my iPhone. If you love the tv show then you have to get this game!!

Needs to have a time adjustment. By the time I'm finished reading a question I have less than 12secs to think. Why not give us an option to adjust the time? Also when I use one of the lifeliines I don't have enough time to select the answer when it goes back to the question and it'll end the game. Please fix these two annoying problems. He game is otherwise enjoyable.

Great program, however I have one suggestion. My wife and I sit in resturants and play the same game on her Razor and it is not a timed game. PLEASE ad a feature to not be timed so two can play it together! Love the graphics.

They need to update this app. They should add in the "option" to turn off the timer (if you wish). The only reason I say that is because the iPhone is not broadcast T.V. and does not have to run for commercial breaks like ABC Does. That is my only downside to it. Without a Doubt, it is a great GAME. I was looking so forward to this game as well as iSlots and ParkingLot.

Like some other frustrated customers, all I get is a blue graphics screen and then the application just crashes. Apple offers no support whatsoever: either to get your money back or look into the problem. Even though Apple sells the apps and makes money on them, they don't feel that it is in their interest to protect their customers from fraud. Where else do you buy something and won't get your money back if it doesn't work at all? Apple operates their apps business like a shady scam store! Please write to Apple if you feel that this is not a great way to treat customers and help to make them change their busniess model. (Otherwise there are always class action lawsuits).

At first i was real glad i bought this, it was fun and i was was hooked. After a while i notice that the questions are the same and when u get to a million it does nothing!! Also the lady gets super annoying!!! U should be able to skip it!!! It doesn't track your wins and stats!! For this kind of money its way too simple!! Plz plz fix this, it has the potential to be 5 star!

I like this game, however, I regret buying it because you just can't play it in a quiet place (library, waiting rooms, or other places you need to kill time - which is the sole purpose of game apps!)... The stupid theme music and Meredith Viera announcing the game CANNOT be muted...I can have the iPhone on Vibrate mode, the volume turned down, and sound effects turned off, but theres this obnoxiously loud music and voice telling everyone what I am doing... Best solution is to put your thumb over the speaker, but that only partially works...
Does Not Work At All For Me

This app doesn't work for me at all - it crashes when I try every time. I've never been able to play it. I tried installing it from the iPhone and from iTunes, and neither worked. I hope this can be fixed in an update, but my biggest disappointment is that a couple emails to the developer have gone unanswered for weeks.

I own both capcom games (millionaire & 5th grader) for the iPhone and they are both worth a download in my opinion. If you're a trivia buff, or just looking to pass the time I would totes recommend you download one, or both, of them! In this game; the lifelines are fun, the timer adds a "real time" feel to the game play, and the intro by Meredith is just cool. I've been playing this for two days straight with coworkers and have not seen a question repeated. Definitley a must have for your iPhone!
Better than expected, but has some bugs.

Graphically, it's just like the game show. It also uses updated versions of the "hot seat" music (they're not different for each question like the game, but the basic versions are there). The lifelines are great, except for the Double Dip. It's structure for getting the first answer wrong is a little off, and there's a bug that you can walk away in the mode, which is inaccurate since "there's no turning back" with this lifeline. Also, there's another bug in that after using any lifeline, the timer will freeze, and you basically have unlimited time to answer the question now, which again is inaccurate. And since your unused time is being banked for the million dollar question, it leads to an inaccurate total. And speaking of that, I don't think the million dollar question adds 45 seconds to the banked total like the game.

For a $5 app, there's way too much product placement. At least 1/10 of the questions force you to think about a product or TV show. That's worse than a commercial that I can ignore! No fun. It needs more questions, and a lot less marketing.

I love this game. I play it several times a day. But, since I play it so often, I've seen every question. There needs to be updated questions every so often. And by the way, you can play it quietly by turning the volume down on your ipod.
