Top Customization App on my phone Has to be the best 2 bucks I've ever spent on an app. If you love customizing your phones look this is a must have app. After moving from the iPhone I find it more fun to customize my phone now than play games on it (Still like a few games but I can tweak the looks of it all day). Call me crazy but its one of the beautiful things about the Android OS. The addition of lock themes avoids the trouble of having to mod anything. Just install the zips and they are ready to use. Great Job TeslaCoil!!!!

Best replacement lock screen, but 1 star short ... So far this cannot replace the Sense lockscreen. What's needed: - Possibility to switch which widgets are displayed based on status (ex. music playing, then show music widget, else show ...) - Fix that the sense-like and circular unlock bars either take up 2 rows (you can't put another one immediately under it) or when set to 1 row scale very badly or are clipped - allow indicating per widget whether it should be interactive or not - add sense 3.0 like unlock bar (with the ring and 4 icons)

Good ... but I really like widget locker and it puts a lot of customization at your finger tips ... At the same time I have found it to have some really annoying behaviors. Most notably, and what will be the likely reason I remove the app, is the buggy interaction with the finger print scanner on my Atrix. Prior to widget locker it worked with absolute reliability (I might miswipe, but it would tell me). Since widget locker, the finger print reader stops working if I get a call or am listening to music.

Love this on Droid X rooted 602 I bought this a few months ago when I had my Ally and played with it a little. I forgot all about it after I got my Droid X. Decided to give it another try. I never realized how useful it is especially when you use ADW notifier with it. I downloaded themes from XDA via the link on the themes setting. I love having notifications and access to my camera, etc right on my lock screen. Great job dev!

I thought this app was a great idea! purchased it and was quite happy for a while. There are small bugs with it though. I ignored them as they did not bother me too much. but I am now at the point 2 months later that I can't deal with the bugs anymore. as Tom said below the popup texts above the lockscreen are a problem. But also I have to put in my password to unlock the phone almost every time i open the phone despite trying to set it on 20 minutes. Also it is constantly asking Superuser for permission.

WL is looking great to me so far, with a clear and thorough set of instructions, and a wide range of Setting options. I was able to easily set up a well secured lockscreen with an imbedded text widget from the Owner Information app to make it easy for anyone who finds my lost Droid X to call me with one button press, without compromising security. I need to do more thorough testing, but so far, the app seems compatible with Unlock with WiFi, and I had no problem doing a find of the device with Lookout.

Does what it is supposed to except the "sliders" are actually not really sliders. And that is not a good thing for key locker. Sliders can be opened by tapping the starting point and then tapping the end point. No need to actually slide your finger across the screen. In my opinion this defeats the purpose of using sliders. Two clicks are way more likely to occur than sliding while keeping the phone in your pocket. I've actually have had some pocket dialings because of this issue.

Really great product, but small problem on HTC ChaCha: End Call button completely exists WidgetLocker, thus unlocking the phone. It can be more or less fixed by going to settings->Advanced->Keep system keylock (or something like this, my phone is in spanish), but then I get the HTC Sense unlock screen whenever I click on a notification, for example, mail, instead of direcly going to the program. Apart for this, this is a great piece of sotware!

I have used several different lock screens across several different phones and I gotta say, Widget Locker has been the most consistent, reliable, replacement option that I keep coming back to. The latest update just make it that much better. I cant recommend this more highly to those that want some Ice Cream Sandwich goodness with a mix of personalization. Kudos to the development team for keeping this fresh and updated. This running on my Epic 4G Touch, make this already awesome phone even more awesome

Fantastic lockcsreen app.Best out there. However, some suggestions: make it easier, if possible, to download themes. It is sort of awkward trying to run a link through the app. And on the iPhone slide theme, I notice that, after you drag the arrow key over, it bounces back, then it shows the home screen. That lag can be bothersome at times. One more thing; can we get some clock themes? I want my lock to look like the iPhone's clock. Now THAT would make it worth five stars. InAll: Worth the price!(: Try it!

I purchased this app after checking it out and convinced myself of its usefulness, especially since I got hooked up with PowerAmp which does not include lock-screen controls. However, after having it installed for such a long time, I still have not been able to feel "in control" of the locker, nor make it a natural part of my mechanics with my SGS2... It has become such an unappealing extra step that I much rather use my BT headset and control PowerAmp from there instead of relying on Widgetlocker... I do not use it that much any more, but I do see its value and ingeniousness... maybe it doesn't adapt so much to my actual needs or my device's features make it unnecessary.

It will open the phone but not really lock it or unlock the phone. Using default phone pattern/password will lock my phone, this app won't, so if that's what you are looking for, keep looking... Revised, ok, it doesn't lock so you have to rely on the stock Android lock screen for security. I've set my Android screen lock to 20 minutes, then use this app the rest of the time. Its nice and very customizable, and quick email response to questions.

I tested this app on a clean LG Nitro (with factory reset software config) and ran it with the default settings: -Before install of WidgetLocker: less than 1% drain on battery per hour -After install and run of WidgetLocker: approximately 3% battery drain per hour (23% over 7 hours) -After uninstall and restart: back to original of less than 1% battery drain per hour. I made no other changes during this test other than install/uninstall of WidgetLocker. Conclusion: this app will probably suck up 75% of the 1830 mAh battery of an LG Nitro over 24 hours on an idle phone versus less than 24% over the same time period on an idle phone. In practical use, I found this app caused me to run down to critical battery power in less than 10 hours with normal phone use. The feature set is fine however and perhaps on other phones, battery usage is not a problem.

It works great with the exception that it does allow the original Motorola lock screen come up like once every 24 hours or so, making me have to go through two lock screens. But that is far outweighed because I can pull my notifications bar down from the lock screen just like I can on my iPod (I've been using an iPod touch for about 18 months now and got an Android because I didn't want an iPhone) and change the lock screen background like I can with iOS. All in all, its a $3 well spent! Love it!

Despite being a fantastic idea execution in regards to security is way off. Causes a double lock screen when using unlock codes which makes it awkward to use, and nothing is with disabling your phone security. Would be 4 star if developer had fixed the problem or offered a trial period to see if problem applies to you, as it stands 15 minutes is not enough time to check problem unless you know of it beforehand and developer is very unresponsive. Poor customer service, wouldn't recommend.

Like most well-designed apps on the market, Widgetlocker is plagued by poor ratings from ignorant people. The majority of negative reviews are simply incorrect. For example, a recent review (mistakenly) complains you can just press the home button to unlock the screen. This is false! Widgetlocker gives you total flexibility, and allows you to configure all the buttons as you see fit...including the home button. Spend some time w/ Widgetlocker! Like anything powerful, it takes more than 30 seconds to master!

This is a really cool app with lots of great ways to customize your lockscreen! The ONLY problem I have with it is the clock widget I use on the lockscreen will sometimes stop updating, at one point displaying a time that was 45 minutes behind the real time. I've tried two different clock widget apps but both have experienced the problem. If this can somehow be fixed so I don't have to worry at all about the time being incorrect, this'll get 5 stars from me!

I can see the huge potential this has if you're willing to put the time in. It just doesn't work well enough out of the box. A lockscreen replacement should do everything my stock lockscreen does at a minimum; this does not. The Xperia Ray lockscreen displays some text when you miss a call, sms, or voicemail. None of that is built into WL. WL can display numbers beside the lockscreen icons if you download ADWNotifier, but that program is buggy as hell, and the numbers are tiny and ugly. Compare this to LauncherPro or stock Sony, where the notifications work with no extra download, are reliable, and look good. You can use widgets like Missed It! to tell you how many items you've missed, but why should I pay to replicate functionality that's already in my phone? Finally, my stock lockscreen arranges the alarm time and battery% more nicely than the WL clock widget does. It just looks better. Given how long it took to get ADWNotifier working, this app is a perfect example of why a 15 minute rebate window is too short. I regret my purchase.

Seems like it could be great, but there are way too many settings that make it not worth the time. I was hoping to find a way to keep the lock screen on when the phone is plugged into a power source, and then a seperate shorter time frame when its in battery mode. I thought it would be cool to have the photo frame widget running when im plugged in at my desk. I spent forever going thru pages of options without sucess. So I'm giving up.

After the ICS update (Samsung Galaxy S2) I thought the stock lock screen was awful. Decided to use Widget Locker instead, and it's so much better. So much customisation on offer, no lag, doesn't appear to have an impact on the battery life. The home button of the Galaxy S2 does unlock it by default, but there's an option in settings to change this. All in all, a top lock screen that provides easy access for all your functions and apps.

This is a great app that can be used to show a link to apps on your lock screen My advice is to install an ICE (In Case of Emergency) app and link it to your lock screen using this app. This will enable emergency personnel to obtain potentially life saving information or emergency contacts of your choice, whist your phone is still locked from unauthorised access. You never know when it will be needed and this app (in conjunction with other apps) has a potential to save your life!

Nexus S. Haptic feedback will not disable. Vibrations cause pain for long time keyboard users (cts, duh!) I am unable to configure the lock screen therefore making the app useless. Unfortunately my 15 minutes were over before I gave up trying to disable it. Update: if you can find someone who doesn't use a keyboard on a regular basis to configure it for you, it's a great app. Would give it 5 stars if it respected the system haptic settings or allowed me to turn it off for all screens including config.

Custom sliders, resize (rows & columns), make each slider lunch a different app and more. This was worth the money and as an app i place it at the top of my list alongside titanium backup i received great support from the app dev, regarding my specific device (samsung galaxy s2 running ics) A second tap on the home button will minimize the app and go straight to home screen, solution: 1. Enable Settings > Advanced > HomeHelper: HomeHelper Component HomeHelper Block Home 2. Then hit Select System Home > WL HomeHelper works great, thanks again

All I wanted was to allow use of camera from lock screen but for any other use have phone need pin unlock. But no you either have to have both widgetlocker and phones default unlock screens or have no security. Add ability to request pin code to unlock phone otherwise we have to sacrifice security. When can do things like use camera without unlocking but need code to unlock for other use will be five stars. Right now its installed simply because google didn't allow refund. Needs security included.

Since I am apparently stuck with this now, how do I get security passwords as a lock to access the home screen? Also, how the heck do I separate the date/clock from the battery/alarm clock information? These should be very standard options to be able to actually customize... and lock. I don't want the date/clock since I have my own date/clock there. However, I need the other information. I have already experienced a FC in my very short time of working with this app. Very disappointed and seriously wanting a refund!

But really it has a fair amount of issues on my GNex. - The stock lock screen pops up for a second pretty regularly. - It handles phone calls poorly, locking the screen mid call. - Sliders can be buggy and lag for a second while unlocking. - It has a hard time with some music apps' lock screen players, like PowerAmp. - It seems to mess with the way the phone sleeps, affecting battery life. - ICS soft keys are still present and active. Allowing you to bypass the lock screen via the recent apps menu.

My review of this fine app is long overdue. I've been using it, now, for a few months, on both a Samsung Captivate, and now a Samsung Infuse 4G (and my wife's Captivate is running it, too... yes, we're a two-WidgetLocker family!). Even if I only wanted a cooler screen locker, sans widgets, I'd still choose this app; but it's when one wants to put widgets and shortcuts right on the lockscreen that this app really shines. And, boy, does it ever shine! As the headline of this posting suggests, it just doesn't get any better than this app. Believe me, I tried the others, and this one has no rival. I've got an "in case of emergency" type widget on the screen (and my wife's phone has that, plus a panic button widget), the "Screen Off & Lock" activation shortcut, and -- and I love this one -- I'm using the "Whiteboard Pro Notes" app to put a message on the lockscreen which encourages anyone who finds (or even steals) the phone to call a special number so arrangements can be made to get the phone returned, and a reward paid. It's just so cool... I should take a screenshot and put it somewhere where people can see it. This thing is limited only by one's imagination. It's best-of-breed!

To me, this is a stellar app/widget because it supports what Android is all about, customization. With that, I think that it still needs improvement - especially on ICS. On my LTE Gnex from Verizon, I can't tell you how many times the lockscreen has frozen or lagged on the slider or even lagged after the slider has unlocked the screen only to wait longer than necessary for my homescreen to show up. This is a problem, and has caused me to not use Widgetlocker till they vastly improve this "lag" or "glitch". This is not to say anything terrible about the application, rather a polite suggestion/comment to the devs to really strive to stop adding features for this and improve the actual functionality of the app. If it could be as smooth as butter - like the actual lockscreen on our devices, that would be perfect and I would even pay more to have a better app like that. Thanks again to the devs - keep it up and I look forward to a better smoother experience in the future!
