If any of you have ever played the party game Boggle, Scramble 2 is bringing the same concept you know and love to your iPhone or iPod Touch. Implementing many features we've come to expect on these devices, Scramble does an excellent job providing a similar experience with all the perks of touch. Created by Zynga, users can create and account or login to their Facebook account and get right in the action. There are 4 different modes of play: Solo, Pass, Challenge or Online. Great Update. Makes the game more addicting.

Looking for more of a challange than being in the top 3 (in Play Online mode) or beating you highest score (in Solo Mode)...this update gives you the chance to earn trophies for certain achievements. Making any gameboard fun to play. In the past I would keep resetting the game in Solo mode to find a gameboard which yields less that 300 points. Not so anymore. I have the ability to earn trophies for some of the hardest 100 point boards. Great update....makes this game even more addicting!

The addition of achievements (trophies) is the most noticeable difference from the original. At first they were clever and fun, but now are just intrusive. Is it really necessary to notify me after every game in which I find a six-letter word? And if I scored over 100 points, you don't also need to tell me that I scored over 50 and over 75. Also, my high score is 288, and longest word 10 letters, so how about some achievements that are more challenging? That said, Scramble remains my favorite iPhone game, and this is the version I'll be playing from now on. Some work on the achievement would make this a 5-star app.

Just as fun as 1, but trophy pop-ups should be able to be turned off

The trophies feature is a good idea, but there needs to be a way to turn it off, so that somewhat decent players (like those that can score 50+ points) don't have to cancel out of pop-up boxes of your award notices after every game. Also, my problems from Scramble 1 such as my picture never seeming to load publicly and points being inaccurately displayed in the public rankings remains. Despite all this, Scramble 2 remains incredibly addicting. For future versions, it would also be great if the rankings only take into account those that have scored at least 1 point, instead of all those sitting there idly. Thanks.

First of all, I love Scramble and play it often so I know what I'm talking about here. This should have been a Scramble 1 update, not "Scramble 2". Almost nothing is different except awards, a feature that should not have been implemented until the current features are perfected. It still crashes occationally and the "Challenge" mode (my fav) leaves a lot to be desired. It should keep a running score between two players and let them explore the words they had in common as well as their differences. Lists of finished games should INCLUDE THE SCORE so I don't have to go back and select each completed game to see if I won (an absolute no-brainer). Please Zynga, polish the current game before adding new features. Oh, and please fix the occasional lag that always seems to make it unable to enter my last word before the timer runs out.

Fun game, didn't know there were so many words that I've never seen.

I like this game, but when it list all the words that are in the puzzle at the end of the round, there seem to be a lot of words that I am not sure really are words. I'm no English major, but I know a lot of words. I have also seen non-American English spellings of some words as correct, such as "litre". I haven't played anything but the solo stuff, but the "play & pass" looks like it could fun when having to waste some time w/ a friend.
