Great for tracking my business expenses, handles multiple currencies and also allows easy tracking of different customer codes / projects on the same days. Easy to export reports via email to excel. Ease of entry has already paid for itself in not forgetting to charge tube fares (and photo tube tickets). It’s also useful to have photo of receipts just in case expense claim envelope goes missing, as it occasionally does. It now has mileage tracking.  Just create a new expense and select the "Mileage" category.

I downloaded XpenseTracker yesterday and it works exactly as advertised without problems. Simple, handy, and suits my needs perfectly. Trips and expense items are easy to add. The iPhone takes pictures of receipts and stores them with each expense item. Exchange rates download perfectly. No crashes or other issues.

This is an excellent iPhone application. In the begining I thought it was too pricy but after using it, I feel it should be priced at least $20.00 it is one of the best application I have used in a long time. Buy this product if you are serious about tracking your expenses.

Great product for those on the go and need to record there expenses with out having to pull out their laptop to do so. The milage recording feature is a great plus for the road warrior as well.

This app does exactly what it tells you and is extremely easy in use. I special like the way you add amounts to the app simple effective and much better then those dials everyone uses.

I am a small business owner, and I need to keep track of my expenses on a daily basis. This is by far the most useful program for this purpose, as it allows me to track by date, customer, or category (expense types - like mileage, meals, etc). I can export the data to my computer rather simply, and do so once a month. Basically I get a nice view of where I spent my money, and for which customer, along with a really neat picture of my receipt. I end up being able to bill my customers for more of my expenses.

This handles all expenses and with the photo capabilities I don't have to carry a pile of crumpled receipts around until I return. One suggestion for the developers though- allow more than one picture to be linked. I would like to snap a picture of the odometer at the beginning and end of the trip, which would require two shots on a single entry.

Great program with beautiful, intuitive UI. Very useful for keeping track of all travel expenses.

I just used it for a week long out-of-country business trip, and it was wonderful. It pretty much did everything advertised; my only problem was that it tended to crash when trying to take photos of receipts. I've used Silverware Software's products before on my Palm and this is a worthy member of their product family.

Back to 5 star rating with version 1.61. Resolved backup issue with SyncDocs from same company. Prompt response from Silverware Support.

Love this app. Very intuitive. Setup was a breeze. Customization options are great, but I wish I had the option to mark an expense paid or unpaid. Once I export to email I would mark paid, so I know where I am come the next time I export.

We purchased this software to help keep track of expenses in my role as a consultant. While I found the software easy to use once I got the hang of it, we had some difficulty in exporting information to be used in Excel. When we contacted Silverware Software Support, we received timely, knowledgeable, caring assistance--as well as the most recent update of this software. Product and service highly recommended!

I really like this app. I especially like, in the mileage category, being able to enter the starting and ending mileage, and have the app calculate the number of miles, and the amount of the IRS deduction.

I recently used this app for a conference back east. It was very easy to use and when my trip was over I just emailed the expense sheet to my bookkeeper and had a check within a day. Much easier than keeping a notes on a paper form. I also had trouble syncing with my desktop but the support was so responsive that they had it fixed in one day... even though it was a Sunday. I highly recommend this app for anyone wanting to keep track of business expenses.

Wonderful app. I was always guilty of losing track of travel expenses. No longer. One star deduct because too many entries for a trip will make the entries at the bottom impossible to get to and edit.

I bought this program out of desparation. After losing receipts or waiting weeks before submitting those, I just load them into the iPhone, hit send and my assistant back at the office puts them on the required a/p form. Congratulations to the developers - this is an outstanding app!

Bought this app and liked it from the start but the expense report would only email the total, not individual categories. Contacted support who responded quickly and came back with a solution that solved the problem (an apple bug). It also fixed a problem I was having with other apps, whose developers had still failed to respond 3 days later (e.g., per diem). I also use Silverware's Flight Update app, which I think is far superior to the others in this category.

What a great App. And with updates, it just keeps getting better. Well worth the 9.99 price. The ability to email a spreadsheet is great. Customer service has been wonderful. Before the last updates, I had emailed a question about an improvement I thought they could make. I received a reply within the hour informing me that the change I asked for was coming in the next update in about a week. The update happened in about 4 days and I love this app. Easy to use yet it does everything I need it to. It has been a stable program to use. No crashes.

This is very useful. I really like being able to take pictures of the receipt for reference. It would be nice if there was a time tracker integrated. I get paid hourly and I still need to keep a notebook for time. Nicely executed application though.

This expense software is a MUST HAVE. Track business, home, civic organization, vacations, whatever you want, simple and easy. Easy to setup, use, customize, back up, export, email, load into Excel. The developer support is fantastic. This is the first time in 30 years of expense reporting that I can honestly say "I do not mind doing expenses anymore". YOU WILL LOVE IT!

I have been using this app daily (2 to 3 times a day) for the past four weeks while on the road. I have tracked every penny spent and utilized every feature. The application has crashed only twice since the most recent update and from what I understand the application will benefit from the new iPhone OS update. The ability to photograph receipts for each new expense works well and doesn't seem to take up much space.

I just got the app and thought that I would finally be able to track my expenses in a quick and efficient manner.

This app has greatly improved my ability to be timely in submitting my expenses and enjoying it at the same time. The software is clean, attractive, intuitive and stays out of your way. Just like any good Mac app. Most importantly, the developer responds almost instantly to emails I send with suggestions or questions and I see some of these items showing up in updates. I was a user of Jetset. Not anymore. I am very happy that I switched to Xpense Tracker. In my heavy use over the last month it has been a pleasure to use with much less hassle trying to add or find information. The ability to sort information however you like is wonderful. Plus Jetset could never handle very many expense reports at one time without always crashing. XT is solid. I look forward to the next updates. V2.4 Just keeps getting better. Love the frequent updates. Keep 'em coming!

I am a self-employed non-profit person and need to track my expenses carefully for tax purpose - and that includes tracking my mileage. (Hey, when THE "uncle" wants to "give" us back 50 cents for each mile we drive, why not keep a close accounting of your mileage?). I tried three or four other expense management/reporting programs before Xpense Tracker and found them lacking in one way or the other. However, Xpense Tracker has everything I need and works very well. Just to be picky: I do wish it had a search function and small two-month-view pop up calendars whenever there is a date entry screen (or at least add a "Yesterday" button just below the "Today" button on the date screen.) Xpense Tracker is a fine program and well worth the $4.99 price.

I rarely write a review for a product ... but this is an app that makes the iPhone such a wonderful tool. It takes a need ... keeping track of expenses ... that is tedious and prone to mistakes and procrastination and makes it easy, organized and ... almost ... fun. If you need to keep track of expenses and find yourself burdened with looking for lost receipts and the thought of hours to make up the report ... try entering each expense as it arises and take the photo of the receipt. When you have to submit your report it will be a breeze. This app combined with having the iPhone with you all the time makes that possible.

This App is AWESOME -- Easy to expense things on-the-fly. When you're done, you email the log to yourself as an Exel spreadsheet. At that point the App asks you do you want this marked as 'submitted.' The Right Question. When you get your check you go back to Xpense and mark it as 'reimbursed.' The advantage of this is you can always know where you are in the process -- pre submission, submitted, or reimbursed. The graphics are better than ever. I highly recommend it (and I searched lots of Apps before I settled on this one).

I travel to multiple countries on a given trip & dealing w/ different currencies that vary each day makes doing expense reports the bane of my existence... till now. First off I am not in anyway associated w/ the developer & do not benefit at all, I'm writing this review because being in the design biz I appreciate a well designed product of any kind that lives up to it's claims, so when I find one I enthusiastically endorse it. I just returned from a month in Asia & downloaded this app the first day of my trip, thank god I did! As soon as I got a receipt I made my entries, took a pic of the receipt & filed it away, done! This app is easy to use, actually makes it some what fun to do expenses. Best cheap investment I ever made! & better yet, a rarity: the customer service was great - when I couldn't figure out a problem I emailed the company past office hours), got a reply first thing in the morning, spoke to a live person & had it solved in no time. Kudos to the developer!

I have been using this app for several months and am quite happy with it. I travel frequently internationally and this app has worked well dealing with multiple currencies. For years I used expenseplus for the palm and was looking for a suitable replacement for the iphone and now I have found it. Great customer service as well. I e-mailed with questions and received a quick and helpful response. Highly recommended.

Has everything i need to track expenses for several different businesses; I even use it to track personal expenses to help me see where I'm at in my personal budgeting. I'm finding the multi-pic option per expense feature VERY helpful for when the receipt is a very long piece of paper. Thanks!

This is followup to my earlier review wheee praised the app and gave three suggestions for even further improvement. The first one is already done - an in-app calculator!! They also added an OCR feature that is way cool and remarkably accurate. One down two to go: (from my prior review) 2.) Ability to configure the header in the cvs email file to, for example, add the User Name for my company's report. 3.) This is probably a stretch… ability to define Excel formating for the cvs email file in the "Exported Fields" screen by tapping on the field and setting: column width, column header cell color, column justification (i.e. center). Still… a GREAT App!!!

I drive our treasurer crazy because I end up doing my expenses bi-monthly (since putting the reciepts together is tedious in my mind). This app lets me do a better job with work I know needs to be done, but always ends up down on the priorities list. I input a reciepts when I get it, take a picture of it, and email my expenses at the end of the month- easy and elegant.

I hate doing expense reports - always have. As a consultant and speaker, however, if I don't submit a report, I don't get paid back. Xpense Tracker makes keeping track of expenses easy and almost fun. The reports that are generated have been accepted by every client without a single issue. I highly recommend this app.

I'm converting 100% from my Palm to my iPhone and Expense tracking and reporting is my last big hurdle. So far I've liked the interface a lot. No real instructions but pretty easy to figure out. I'm overseas at the moment and don't have all the benefits of being on a system where I can export but so far the email option to CVS format is working out pretty good. The photo feature for receipts is good. Like that a lot so far. There's a few more things to figure out and I can't access the help videos on their websites from China ... so may have to wait till the week after next. But that said ... I reccmd this one for sure. Might even give it a five star if the tutorial part was a bit better.

Generally, a solid app with good workflow. I recommend it. It'd be ideal to see a mash up with American Express; ability to duplicate entries and select a new or existing log that differs from the original; tighter linkage across categories of common entries, merchants, etc.
